Looks like it has the mange. Looks kinda like a hairless mouse looking creature, hind legs look a little long. Does kinda got a hippo head. I would
say the name fits the animal perfect. Im sure its some freaky pet bought from a pet store.
Without a good look at the head, I would have to think that this is a immundeficient laboratory animal. Either a mouse, rat, or guinea pig. These
animals don't produce T-cells and they don't have a active immune system. And most are hairless
I think the black growths on the animal are small infections, that should eventually keep growing until the animal dies.
