After setting off to solve the mystery of Nefertiti—Egypt's best known royal wife—researchers instead found evidence supporting the theory that a mystery mummy may be the powerful pharaoh who some experts believe is the father of the famous King Tut.

This isn't a brand new mummy, but rather something they concluded after reexamining one of the "unnamed" mummies from a 1907 dig. The tomb of this mummy was located close to Tut's tomb, and scans say that there's come common features there.

I'm not too sure about the common features... incest was common in the Egyptian royal line (so as to not "pollute" the blood by outsiders) so I'd kind of expect most of them to have features in common.

Discovering Ankhenaten would be a pretty fantastic thing, I would think! Being that he's one of the more interesting stories in Egypt's histories, and may in fact be the actual "founder" of the modern monotheist religions...
