U.S. says expects al Qaeda to "lash out" in Iraq

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - The U.S. military expects al Qaeda in Iraq to strike back with "spectacular attacks" after a major offensive in and around Baghdad disrupted the network's activities, a military spokesman said on Wednesday.

Again, the word "Spectacular" appears. Now to go hand in hand with the threat of escalation in the UK and US, there is the threat of escalation in Iraq.
