Interesting story behind this tune. Burton was outside after a break and the band cranked up the tune and he heard it and came back inside and ad lib'd the words to the tune. It was recorded and someone said that they should do this in the studio. That someone was right. It was their biggest hit. This was during Viet Nam btw.

Here's another great Canadian, Daniel Lanois.

I haven't seen Danny in years he recorded a song I and a friend did at his Grant Street Studios in Hamilton in the late 70's, back then Danny was still fairly unknown,( and I still am ) cost us 1900$ to do it. Our claim fame was the song got picked up by CBC for the sound track of a Tee Vee show called live it up.

Here's a selection from the west coast.

The Odds were the house band at a club I used to frequent. I think they only released a couple albums, but I spent many an evening drinking to their music. This video was made with clips from Supernatural and was most likely produced by a teenage girl. I'm disappointed I couldn't find the original; it featured Kids in the Hall in drag.

I had to post this again, just to say Yippee! I went to see Chilliwack last night. The park across from my place has music festival almost every weekend during the summer. Chilliwack was the last band to play yesterday and they opened (and closed) with My Girl.
