Just to prove that Headbangers know about music other than Metal, i drag forth from the 80's Corey Hart.
Btw intrepid i have albums by Triumph and April Wine on vinyl, though i didnt realise April Wine were Canadian. Great stuff.

Rush - The Trees

There is trouble in the forest,
And the creatures all have fled,
As the maples scream "Oppression!"
And the oaks just shake their heads

Great Big Sea - Mary Mac

Canada's bad boy of fiddlin' - Ashley MacIsaac

Sleepy Maggie (lyrics in Gaelic)

The Tea Party- Psychcopomp(pretty mellow version)

Crank it for this band. Their 90's but sound 70's.

Walking Wounded:

That one was mellow by their standards too.

Tea Party kicking it-Temptation:

Here's a couple from Bif Naked. She's super-talented with an amazing voice, funny, kind, sweet and gorgeous. I have such a girl crush on her.

Bif's cool. I was looking for some Valdy, nothing on the Net, here's a remake of his tune Rock and Roll Song:

Google Video Link

Man, his Canadiana is amazing. Streets of Whitehorse. Peter and Lou. I don't know why he isn't on the Net. If someone can find some Valdy, please post it.

I like Valdy too. This site has some samples of his music:

How about this little bit of Canadian musical history?

Irish Rovers - Unicorn Song

I love this song.

Yeah so they didn't write it, but they made it famous.

Gosh, there are so many acts from Canada that I like, I can't even decide which to post. I like pretty much any kind of music, so here is a bit of a mix.

The Band - The Weight

Paul Anka - Put Your Head On My Shoulder

Leonard Cohen - Everybody Knows

Finger Eleven - Good Times

Here's another mixed bag of Canadian music.

Trooper - Boys in the Bright White Sports Car

Diana Krall - Charmed Life

Grapes of Wrath - All The Things I Wasn't

Burton Cummings - Stand Tall

Loverboy - Turn Me Loose

Here's more Loverboy because I had forgotten how much I liked them.

The Kid is Hot Tonight - I couldn't find the original, but this is funny.

Working for the Weekend - Again not the original, but funny. What is it that inspires Loverboy fans?
