physics joke

ok so a physicist is invited to a physic's convention in NYC, but he got the wrong adress and instead he went to a convention with dairy farmers. So when he arrives and finds out about the mistake he decides to make a speech anyways using his knowledge of dairy farming. He gets up to the podium and says

"Imagine a cow is spherical"

I don't get it! The joke or, respect for that matter.

b/c in physics you always make simplifications to make life easier i.e. car drove in circle find the displacement, we assume that the car traveled in a perfect circle to make the problem easier. In this case the cow is a sphere therefore the physicist can explain it easier

I can see where hes coming from with the over generalisations in physics, apart from that
