How delightful...

I wish we could get a couple of these and bread them and have tons of the white little guys, they would sell for extreme about of money, but they are just so cool looking.

Before I even clicked the link I thought it woulda been
about Asheville area NC's white ones
when I moved there I saw one crossing the street and I got excited and
a local told me that it wasn't a true albino but it was the only place that had them, something about snow camo lol
I then checked your link and
is that Georgia?
Maybe one of the little guys cought a ride there on a truck or maybe someone took him for a pet down there. But the pict looks just like what was all over there

Brevard is the town not asheville , was confused cause I also lived in Brevard county in FL

Lovely, as you can see I have an affinity for albino animals.

There's actually quite a few around. Five towns at least have them. One not far away from me; Olney, Illinois. The others are:
Kenton, Tennessee
Marionville, Missouri
Brevard, North Carolina-not true albinos
Exeter, Ontario-not true albinos

For some reason, white squirrels seem to be a recurring topic at ATS. Sure, they are cute. Yes, they are white. Nevertheless, they are only squirrels and I marvel at the way they seem to fascinate all who become aware of these anomalous creatures.

I live in London, Ontario Canada and I live about a half hour drive from Exeter, Ontario -- a town whose only claim to "fame", it would seem, is their population of white squirrels .

It is interesting to note that the white squirrels of exeter are not albinos. Albinos are genetic mutations. The white squirrels of Exeter are not albinos and, as such, we can only suppose that the white squirrels of Exeter evolved, as a community, to be white because of some environmental advantage. Being a white animal in the winter might serve some protective purpose but, frankly, they stick out like sore little thumbs the rest of the year.

i was born and raised here in brevard nc and the story is it is not an albino squirrel. back in the days either the circus or carnival dont really remember was coming into town in which was from georgia and had crashed letting loose the white squirrel..

I'm in S. Illinois and the town about 20 miles North of me, Olney, is known for their white squirrels. They only stay in the town and never leave for anything. It's the town's claim to fame really and the mystery of why they never go anywhere else but there.

There was an albino squirrel that lived in a park that was on my way to work (I would bike to work) and every morning I would see him (or her). It was so cool looking but I noticed that the other squirrels would always go after it and chase it away, more than usual.

Here in MN we have grey, black, white and red squirrels.

The white ones and black ones I find especially cool when I see them.
