If the government of Israel is seen as 'evil zionist regime', how do you explain suicide bombers targeting civilians?

Granted when Israel happens to kill civilians by accident, we can argue it was intentional, but the army always goes after militants, with civilian casualties sometimes happening, which is just very sad.

I want to address this question:

if Israel was to withdraw from the 1967 occupied zones, who will have control over this territory? Hamas? Fatah? with they fight each other? will they continue to fight the 'zionist occupiers'?

EXCELLENT POINTS

WHY ISRAEL . . .

Have often asked Muslims . . .

given that Islam HAS Medina, Mecca and some other HOLY CITIES . . . and that they construe Allah (in reality a demonic moon god) as the merciful and generous . . .

What would it cost them to give their half-brothers the Israeli's JERUSALEM!???

None have ever had a sensible answer.

I think it boils down to . . .

PRIDE

and power mongering . . . as usual.

war is what keeps us fighting each other so we dont notice the talking head thief slipping away outside the battle. When we finish fighting, the schemer escapes and we are the dummies. Islam and christianity are merely a group of people seeking peace in themselves and a true and humbling reality they call God. Its power hungry satanists, athiests and emotioanlly disturbed people who ruin it all by starting accusations, one lining holy books, and rising to power to incite war for revenge, greed or more power for a collective few. Religion creates confusion when its focus turns from individuality to collectivism. Meaning group think is not what God created, man created it to oppose God, and learned it from a liar, or pan/satan/lucifer/the dragon/the beast/appollion/the white horse rider etc...
Now the kiran and Bible both have very important future events to convey to our time, that they somehow knew would come. Now its just possible that someone from our time, or a future time. went back, conveyed the future to select people, and started a repeating loop somehow. Where humanities only hope of living on is through a segmented loop of time, spanning the end of the story of man kind on earth? Or in a more religious sense, satan, an angel of light, is manipulating our perception ofreality to make his more inviting.

The koran is not a divinely inspired book so it contains errors. Also it was written in 2 parts. If verses of the 2nd part contradict verses from the 1st part, the later verses cancel out the 1st verses.

I think this is a key issue difficult to overstate.

The Jihadi's focus on 100's of Koran verses ordering Muslims to violence.

Certainly the verses are starkly brutal far more than enough for most civilized peoples to be horrified by the texts.

But it's what the Jihadi oriented Imam's do with the verses that really drives the Jihadi's over the cliff, in my opinion.

And, without much literacy and a cultural custom to accept what the Imam's say as Holy Writ . . . the disadvantaged, testosterone flooded . . . are off and running without much thought--much less a look back or even forward . . . just blind enraged running to commit bloody mayhem . . . with delusional fantasies of 72 virgins etc.

How does an individual or a culture or a world, for that matter,

deal with such deadly, bloody brutality in the name of a delusional RELIGIOIUS goal?

You just can't decide to push out a whole race/religion of people bcuz You want to habitate there Yourself. The Muslims have occupied that area of the world for forever. It's a very sacred place for them as well and as far as I know They believe it's where Muhammed ascended to heaven.

I believe you are mistaken. The Jewish faith has existed for over 5,000 years. Islam has only been around for about 1,400 years. To say that the Muslims have occupied that area of the world forever is simply wrong. If you are determining who owns an area by the age of their claim to the land, Israel wins by 3,600 years. In additon, the area of Israel is sacred to the Jews as well - it is the root of their very existence and the only place in the world they claim as sacred. The Muslims have Mecca and Medina - why can't Israel have Jerusalem?

Also, it was the all powerful and wonderful UN that LEGALLY created Israel in 1948. Even though the Arab nations occupy a land area the size of Australia and Israel is the size of a postage stamp, they all attacked Israel the day after it was created by the UN in an effort to destroy it. The lands that Israel occupied were the result of wars against them started by the Arab nations. It is Israel that has been defending itself for the last 60 years or so and the Muslims are the aggressors. If the Muslims are truely the peace loving people they (and others) claim they are - why can't they leave tiny little Israel alone? Why can't they just build a giant wall and ignore it? The answer is because they are not interested in peace with Israel no matter what the borders are.

INDEED.

But there is an added factor . . . Scripture declares that the children of Israel would be at odds with the children of Ishmael . . . . I forget the phrasing . . . but essentially, applying other Scriptures to the issue--until after Armageddon and Christ sets His Kingdom up overtly in Jerusalem.

Can't find the ref just now. Don't recall the suitable keywords.

As I recall, the children of Ishmael will also be decimated for their treatment of the children if Israel. But that eventually, God will be with them again or at least preserve a remnant of them.

Clearly God has Covenanted to bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse israel.

I see a signature hereon encouraging folks to boycott Israeli goods. I would not want to be in that person's shoes. Being on the wrong side of God's favor and disfavor is not a thing to be taken lightly.

The Lord has preserved Israel every war since 1948. He may take her within a hair's breadth of her destruction as a discipline but He will end up preserving her most supernaturally against overwhelming odds against her. Some think such a war is right at hand.

I just know that at some point, the USA will cease to be her protector either through NWO devilishness or inability.

At some point, God ALONE will be israel's Defender and HE WILL PROVE to be MOST ADEQUATE. Woe to those on the other side.

In the Koran, Jews are damned by Allah, and Christians are told that faith in Christ as God incarnate is "blasphemy"... but the same Koran praises and recommends the Torah and the Gospel of Jesus, which is a contradiction.

Wow, well done..this thread generated some excellent discussion and opinions from all sorts of people.

Look, here's where i stand on the whole thing: First of all, right off the bat, Muslims are simply too late in the 'monotheistic' game, johnny-come-lately's, before this they were a nomadic band of paganistic desert dwellers ultimately banded together, much like china back in the day and england, by a war-mongering leader by the name of Mohammmad, spread by threat of death, the fanatic heretical faith spread like wildfire.

read some facts below:

The Koran, denies the 3 facts... but then, praises the "Gospel of Jesus"... that's a "gross error of the Koran", because if Jesus is not God, and he was not crucified, the Koran should say that the Gospel of Jesus is wrong, instead of praising the Gospel, and advising to follow the doctrines of the Gospel in Suras 5:46 and 5:65... the divinity of Jesus, his crucifixion, and resurrection at the third day, is the "heart of the Gospel"

This is another "missing" of the Koran...God is eternally the Father of Jesus Christ, eternally begotten, not made, and one in being with the Father; Jesus is eternally God as the Father, because if at any moment God would not have had a Son, at that moment God would not have been a Father, which is an impossible... and Jesus Christ is as much God as the Father, God from God... but not two Gods, only one God!... like the water and ice, not 2 waters, but the same substance in different forms... and the Holy Spirit is like a cloud, also the same water, who proceeds eternally from the love of Father to the Son and the love of the Son to the Father... and there are not 3 Gods, but only one eternal God: The God of Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac, of the Sura 2:133, which are not 3 Gods, but the only one God... and that's why the only one God speaks as "We" and "Us" and "Our", at least 17 times in the Sura 37 of The Ranks, in verses 70-130.

Mohammmad says:

1- "Invitation first" (that is, call them first to embrace Islam).
2- "If they refuse, then war." "The sword", said Mohammmad, "is the key of heaven and hell; a drop of blood shed in the cause of Allah, or a night spent in arms, is of more avail than two months of fasting or prayer: whosoever falls in battle, his sins are forgiven, and at the day of judgment his limbs shall be supplied by the wings of angels and cherubim.
(nice guy, huh? real peaceful)

The Quran:
There are 123 verses in the Quran about killing and fighting. (Jihad)(religion of peace? ya sure)
Here are 4 of those 123 verses:

1- "O believers, fight the unbelievers who are near to you, and let them find in you a harshness; and know that Allah is with the godfearing" (Sura al-Tawba 9:123). the Quran
The unbelievers are the Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, Indians, atheists... any one who is not a Muslim.

2- "Fight against those who believe not in Allah and the Last Day and do not forbid what Allah and His Messenger, have forbidden -- such men as practice not the religion of truth, being of those who have been given the Book -- until they pay tribute out of hand and have been humbled" (Sura al-Tawba 9:29). the Quran

3- "The punishment of those who wage war against God and His Messenger, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land is: execution, or crucifixion, or cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land: that is their disgrace in this world, and a heavy punishment is theirs in the Hereafter;" (Sura Al Ma idah 5:33). the Quran

4- "Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that ye love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not." (Sura AL-BAQARA 2:16) the Quran

And Furthermore:

1- Egypt - Egypt has been terrorized by Muslims since the time of Umar II (8th Century AD.). With Umar’s raid on Egypt began the destruction of Egypt’s Christians. Their Churches were destroyed, Umar imposed Jizya—a special tax that was invented by Mohammed , where all the "non-believers" had to pay or face death.
2- Algeria - Algeria has been under Islamic terrorist attack for quite some time now. Accurate casualty figures are difficult to acquire, but as many as 50,000 Algerians (militants, security personnel, and civilians) have died as a result of the nearly four-year-old insurgency.
3- Pakistan - Like East Pakistan (Bangladesh), Pakistan was also founded by the terrorist leader, Mohammed Ali Jinnah. Ever since its foundation, Pakistan has sponsored terrorism and Islamic terrorist groups all over the world. Pakistan’s main focus of terrorist activity has always been India. This nation is obsessed with the downfall of India and will do anything to accomplish this goal.
4-The Mideast war is not about occupation. Israel occupies neither Gaza nor Lebanon. This war is about two terror organizations, Hezbollah and Hamas, and their patrons Iran and Syria, which have stated unequivocally their intent to destroy the sovereign state of Israel.
"We now in the Middle East have an axis of terror and hatred comprising Iran, Syria, Hamas and Hezbollah, which is trying to attack Israel and prevent peace in the area," said Israel's consul general in New York, Arye Mekel.
Many other countries such as Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Germany, Syria, Indonesia, Palestine, Libya, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, Mauritania, Cyprus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, etc. can be added to the above list.

Islam: God promised to Abraham through Ishmael another two things:
1- I will so increase your descendants that they will be too numerous to count. (Gen16:10) and so it happened! with the 1.1 billion Muslims today, and still counting.
2- Ishmael...12 He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers." (Gen.16:12) ... and it did happened! with the history of wars of Islam.. and even today with the terrorism

Jesus and Mohammed:
1- God:
- Muhammad stated he was not God... and all the 1.1 billion Muslims agree.
- Jesus proclaimed himself God with his own words, an he made many miracles to show that he is God... and he is still making them!... he resurrected physically, because he is God, the Lord of life and death... all the 2.1 billion Christians agree.
2- Prophesied:
- Muhammad was never prophesied.. All Muslims agree on this
- Jesus was prophesied over 300 times for 2,000 years before his birth: The place of his birth, his virgin mother, his life, his death, his resurrection... only in Psalm 22, there are 13 prophecies about Jesus that were fulfilled to the letter at Calvary... and even Jesus himself prophesied 3 times that he will die on a cross, and will resurrect at the third day.
3- Miracles:
- Muhammad never made any "miracle", he stated he never made one, only "The Koran" is his standing miracle... and all the Muslims agree
- Jesus made miracles, described in the Gospels... and the Christians today continue the work o Jesus, they make many miracles in the name of "Jesus": Heal the sick, stop storms, cast out Satan, resurrect the death... in the Catholic Church there are recorded over 400 death resurrected.
46 miracles of Jesus - Deliverance: If you are a Christian... you must cast out devils, and heal the sick!...
4- Wars:
- Muhammad himself launched 80 war campaigns during the ten years from his migration in A.D. 622 to his death in A.D. 632 though some of them were nothing more than reconnaissance missions...
- Jesus never launched any war campaign.

God Doesnt need anyone to fight any wars for him!As the Muslims do[/b

In Islam the problem is accentuated because the Ruler of a Muslim country is at the same time the Political and Religious leader... starting with Muhammed himself who personally fought many wars to defend and expand Islam, and of course he is the model for all the Muslims... and because the final aim of Islam is to conquer the whole world for Allah... by peaceful means, or by war, as started by the Prophet himself. Empires of Islam.
Christians have apologized for he atrocities of the Crusades and Inquisition, even the Pope John Paul II, but I don't know of any Muslim apologizing for the atrocities done by Islam in the name of God for centuries... hundreds of battles, wars, all kinds of terrorism, suicide bombers... the last one today, September 11, 2001, in the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington...
I have met many Muslims in New York, Palestine, Egypt, North and South Africa, India, China, and all of them are good people, good friends, hard workers, reliable... however, in Islam there have been hundreds of totalitarian regimes for centuries, starting with the Prophet Himself, with Muhammed (peace be upon him)... the aim of most of them, like Hitler or Stalin, was to expand Islam to the neighboring countries, if necessary by war, with thousands of wars made in the name of God, and millions killed for the only crime of not being a Muslim...
The Muslims in a Muslim Country:
Most Muslim countries today are part of the third world of under-developed countries... many rulers use their huge oil wealth and money for personal wealth and for the cause of Islam, instead of the betterment of the poor brothers Muslim citizens... look at Sudan, Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Morocco, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Palestine... Kadafy in Libya, the Kings in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Syria...
The non-Muslims in a Muslim Country:
Inside of most Muslim countries is like the Nazi regime or Communism: Islam often makes the lives impossible to the non-Muslims, imposing severe taxes (the Jizya or poll tax), and even killing millions... like today in Sudan: We're talking here not about discrimination, but persecution of the worst sort: slavery, starvation, torture, murder.... for the only crime of being a Christian... about 1.3 million of them dead only in Sudan, in a country with only 5 million Christians:
And, on top of it, when there is not enough power, all kinds of terrorism, suicide bombers... and all of it in the name of Allah, the Islamic Holy War... based on the teachings of the the Quran and Hadith.
All of it started with the Prophet Himself, Muhammed
Meanwhile, Uthman, and Ali were assassinated by fellow Muslims...Uthman while he was reading the Koran he published, and Ali by Muawiyah, the founder of the Umayyad Dynasty.
Here is an explanation of these assassinations among brother Muslims by The Hadith of Muhammed:
"Allah's Apostle said, "Allah welcomes two men with a smile; one of whom kills the other and both of them enter Paradise. One fights in Allah's Cause and gets killed. Later on Allah forgives the 'killer who also get martyred (In Allah's Cause)."... Here is a very important matter. We often wonder how Muslims kill each other and both parties scream "Jihad" as they kill each other. Muhammed says that Allah is happy to see them BOTH killing each other. The cause is not the point-- just kill, kill, kill."
Two articles in the L.A. Times wrote about Muslims in Indonesia forcing Christians of all denominations to convert to Islam or get their throats slit. Thousands upon thousands of Christians have been first converted, and then sexually mutilated with kitchen knives and razor blades to make them conform to Muslim standards. Afterwards, they are enslaved to their local Muslim chieftain. They have a history of murder, terror, lies and brainwashing to advance their cause of global conversion and subjugation... Their Jihad!.

Most of the Jews were already there and coexisting with everybody there.

Not MOST but some. I would also point out that a majority there did not agree with the formation of Israel and the expulsion of the current Palestinian inhabitants at the time.

In 1940 Jews made up around 29-30% of the population in Palestine.

That number rose to around 33% before 1947 with 67% non-Jewish. Around that time the UN passed Resolution 181, which partitioned Palestine in favor of the Jewish minority. At the time that minority only owned around 6.59 percent of the land but with the resolution they would gain 54 percent.

This of course left many people uneasy to say the least.

The Arab leadership (in and out of Palestine) opposed the plan, arguing that it violated the rights of the majority of the people in Palestine, which at the time was 67% non-Jewish (1,237,000) and 33% Jewish (608,000). Arab leaders also argued a large number of Arabs would be trapped in the Jewish State as a minority. While some Arab leaders opposed the right of the Jews for self-determination in the region, others criticised the amount and quality of land given to Israel.

More?

After the war, in 1949, they were around 86% of the population much of which was do to migration from Europe.

Around two million Palestinians were left homeless and lost their property and possessions. They were granted refugee status.

In my humble opinion, even if it was a dump...(subjectively speaking) it was THEIR dump. I'd hate to have someone that considered my property useless force me out of it and build an amazing condo for who they felt deserved it more.

Oh wait...eminent domain...the government allows that now.

Yea and?

No offense to anyone but I don't really care about what the Qur'an, Talmud, Holy Bible or whatever else says in regards to who is "holier" than whom, what they should and should not get in life, and more importantly what I don't deserve if by fate I don't fall under the category of who it is God really loves.

If a person does believe these things that all fine and good...just don't infringe on anyone's basic and fundamental human rights in the process. That's where I start to get a bit unnerved.

I personally don't recognize anyones religious claims to anything, from divine right of leadership to the allowance of multiple-marriage. As a person that does not follow any organized religion it is ridiculous to claim I should accept these terms from a God I don't even know exists at all. Historically any and every religious leader has a tendency to make all sorts of ludicrous claims as religious fact and law.

The Catholic Church at one point endorsed slavery and since Africans weren't classified as "human beings", the loophole for the responsibility of spreading love through Christianity to all men was established.

In Judaism some conservative sects teach men to thank God they were not born women and discourage women from taking any public role or leadership position. Some sects go so far as to not allow a male to even ride a bus driven by a female.

Hasidic parents have sued the Monroe-Woodbury school board in an effort to have only male school bus drivers assigned to transport the boys, who attend private school. Religious law, parents say, prohibits the boys from driving with a woman.

Huh?

I'll never forget when a jewish (Hasidic?) couple stormed out of the Symphony Hall where I worked and the man was irate. I asked him what was wrong and he said "There is a woman singing on stage and I was not aware this was going to happen, I am forbidden to hear a woman sing!!"

I was surprised to say the least...thankfully it's not my law. I love Nina Simone.

This is my problem with that sort of "believing". There's always some way around the "equality" dilemma.

It's clear that usually the group that writes down "God's holy words" tend to make everything appear in THEIR favor. In this case we have both sides that claim what part of where ever place was given to them by a God ages ago and should our leaders happen to be religious believers of that notion then we are all supposed to accept this too.

Why should I abide by any of that? That to me is beyond illegitimate.

Anyone who follows that line of thinking should in fairness accept if proposed the nation of Native Americans religious rights to the United States and depart immediately if asked. Many tribes believe that the land was also given to them as well.

Lee you are clearly missing the point of this thread...this thread isnt to condone or deny anyone's faith, and that includes animists as well as practitioners of Luciferian Satanism...my point is that Islam is an unholy faith committing atrocities all over the globe, you, too, as an atheist would be subject to the same persecutions as anyone else...its about religious freedoms as well as a sound religious order in working toward a better life for EVERYONE.

In other words Islam has successfully subjugated its own people of whom worship within these very practices.

The Moslem faith has failed all those whom practice it...its a heretical faith based on enslavement..and until this is realized, we will continue, as Christian nations, to fight the war on evil to the bitter end, for everyone Including non-Christians.

Almost all muslims I met in Toronto are intelligent and realize just because some person calls himself a religious cleric, doesn't mean he is one, and they see how these so called 'holy' people incite hate and violence in their fellow muslims. Perhaps in some of the under-developed countries, people see a religious figure as all smart and knowing, so of course he can only speak the truth.... the problem is that at the same time, you have other religions in other countries affecting people's perception there as well, but that's going OT. It's a shame the ones who are brainwashed can't listen to themselves inside to figure out what is right or wrong.

Could it be a group 'peer pressure mentality' happening here? ie. on their own maybe some people would just say 'live and let live' but when they're in a giant protest surrounded by hate, they join in almost like a reflex?

Just thinking out loud.

Love and gratitude to everyone

I think that's an excellent point. A large rebellious bureaucracy is evil regardless of the philosophy pontificated as justification. Individuals will always be treated as cogs in the great machine.

I think that's one reason the distinction between

RELIGION--MAN'S EFFORTS TO REACH TOWARD GOD

vs

RELATIONSHIP--God's reaching down to man through His own Sacrificial death in Christ

. . . there's a big difference--even when the RELIGION is ostensibly Christianity. Even Christianity as a philosophy in the hands of a bureaucracy can be as deadly as can be.

OK well I really appreciate the good discussion here, Its nice to see the truth spoken and those who don't bend to the PC crap when it comes to their belief in God. You ask why Israel. Because most of the Jews deny the divinity of Jesus. Yes I said Period. It is the ultimate slap in the face of god and he is teaching them and the rest of us a lesson. God is now letting the Anti-Christ work his evil on the Jews by pitting the Islamics against them and now the rest of us who have turned their back to God.
I warn all of you. The Anti-Christ is walking among us as we post. He is the head of Share International who has their own floor at the U.N. building in N.Y. . This man is true evil, Just listen to him talk and you will feel very ill. He says that he is not the man but his Matria is, Witch is part of the deception. He meets with world leaders all the time and that is public record. I ask myself after hearing this man talk, How does a man who talks of this blasphemous religion and leader get invited to the White House to meet our so called Cristian president. ( Remember G.W. saying God told him to invade Iraq ). Remember Iran's leader speaking at the U.N. and just what some people said about him being surrounded in light when he talked. This devil is pulling all the strings around the world. Please be careful when you think about him. If you dont have strong faith you may have a hard time getting him out of your head and simply mentioning his name can invite him to pay you a visit.

Take this with a grain of salt, but the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs has their own opinion as to why the cycle of violence keeps going. It's an interesting viewpoint that could possibly look at some of the root problems.

Hatred of the Jews as a Psychological Phenomenon in Palestinian Society
Arab-Muslim cohesion around the themes of anti-Semitism and martyrdom results from militant Koranic indoctrination by some mosques and madrassas in the Islamic world, and in the Palestinian Authority by dissemination of Friday sermons, official textbooks, and pioneering media programs. These, together with destructive childrearing practices that produce intractably violent criminals in the West but in the Arab-Muslim world are modified by collectivism and authoritarianism, engender hatred of Jews and Westerners and jihad-inspired terrorism.

Reading the article you see astounding remarks such as "A recent survey of Palestinian society indicated child sexual abuse to involve 50 percent of boys and 31 percent of girls". Aside from the sexual abuse the children are often, beaten, neglected, and then forced to watch anti-Israeli propaganda for them to focus their frustrations on. As the article clearly points out, the children's childhood experiences would produce violent criminals in nearly any situation. In Palestine however, it's focused like a laser-beam onto Israel specifically. Instead of finding new ways to better themselves, the children instead grow up looking for new ways to strike out against their perceived oppressors.

Of course this only addresses the current cycle of violence. How did this cycle get started in the first place? That's addressed as well although not as indepth an examination as the current cycle it's interesting.

Why Are Jews the Target?

In the nineteenth century, Jews in Palestine were often attacked by Bedouin marauders. Arab nationalism, apparent before 1914, gained impetus from corruption in the declining Ottoman Empire and from Jewish immigration. The Ottoman Land Code of 1858 had slowly led to land grabs by wealthy Arabs, among them absentee landlords living in Lebanon who sold such lands to Jews unbeknown to peasants who lost their grazing rights.[65] When so informed by new Jewish owners, the peasants' understandable fury turned against the Jews.

It appears as if Palestinians have been exploited severly by their Arab "allies" and had their land sold out from underneath them. The rich Arab leaders wanted the cash and didn't care the least bit about those who would suffer most.
