ok this is my theory, healthcare is being used to bankrupt working americans. last year before my insurance would kick in 80/20 i had to meet the deductable and pay so much, the total amount was i think around a thousand or eleven hundred. in one year it has went up to $2,700, and the ahole actually told me that since 9/11 it has been going up everyear, ah what the hell did he just say was my thought. my wife recently had surgery and for the price of the hospital stay alone i would of thought we had traveled to a lavish island vacation hospital. the dr bill was actually the cheapest part, needless to say we are going to get wiped out by this. how the hell can people afford to get sick anymore? am i the only one who thinks this way?

Nope you're not the only one who thinks this. But if we go for national health care the wings nuts start screaming socialism. Well I can understand socialism is a bad thing but when people need things like medical care how do doctors and drug companies make the most money treating dieses or just the symptoms there is no money in cures. So I would like to see them kick capitalism out of the picture for all health care needs.

Yeah, we just had a baby 6 months ago.

Delivery= $ 2975.00
Circumcision= $225.00
Hospital Room(1 night)= $3689.26

Now that I think about it, I should have rented a room at the Hilton in downtown Chicago (pleasure suite=$500.00 to $1000.00 a night), and had the baby there. Would have saved a couple grand.

Our deductible is $1000.00 (Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO), then 90/10. What a rip-off. I still didn't pay the deductible and my 10% share.

That's one of the major reasons I miss living in Germany. I remember paying a hell of a lot of taxes, but guess what? I NEVER once had a medical bill. We never had to worry about deductibles, or if our doctor is in the "network". I would gladly have more taxes taken from me, if I knew I would never receive a medical bill again.

.i would pay more taxes too, rather than putting up with this crock, you got off cheap on the room, my wife's two day stay at the hospital was about 10k...that's not including surgery or anything else.
