Scooter Libby has been spared from prison. According to a report from Fox News the President Bush commuted the sentence of former aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby Monday, sparing him from a 2 1/2-year prison term in the CIA leak case. That means that his sentence will stay intact, but no jail time for Mr. Libby

Isn't this just a blatant slap in the face to actual justice? I cant see how this wont anger lots of Americans and further the negetive opinion and lack of trust thats growing. I guess the message is if your rich and powerful dont worry cause you wont get in trouble the president will just pardon you!

I am not American but I do not like the idea of presidential pardons at all, this case wreaks of corruption at the highest level!

I know it wasnt an outright pardon but sentance commuted or some legal babble but this is still pretty bad.
