Hi, im wondering if SETI did search for any signal from those stars-constelation. The always tell, that dont know where to look, but we all know the rumors where are aliens origin from, so what did them cost to search those areas? This must be one of first coordinates to look at, so did they or did not search and how long did they search there?
I am 100% sure they did search there if they are real scientist, the question is why did find out.

yes they searched there and found nothing. It will be searched again with the ATA telescope which has a wider frequency range.

Indeed, full radio searches of Zeta Reticuli and Alpha Orionis have been conducted. So far no signals...

I was asking this very question back in '04..
See this thread for a bit more details,
www.abovetopsecret.com...
but the answer back then was "NO", it was not scanned.
So are we saying it has been scanned since then? If so, by whom?

Who's to say that if we scan there that we will pick up anything? They are so much more advanced that us they may not even be using radio waves, or anything else that can be detected by our earth based technology.

Indeed, or there may be no one there to detect...
