Back on topic......from what I have been further finding and reading, it seems that China, silently, has been seeking used aircraft carriers.....France is the lasted prospect (DeGaulle) (sp). In such, they are not specifically going to use these aircraft carriers bought, but will use them to learn from and then incorporate or improve on the current tech gathered and learned to build on their future plans for a aircraft carrier of two, or three....

Military-minded netizens are abuzz with talk about the allegedly imminent appearance of a Chinese aircraft carrier. Actually, not just one, but three. One California-based news commentator, FreeRepublic.com ('pro-God, pro-life, pro-Bill of Rights, pro-gun... and pro-America'), warns that China, with the idea of seizing Taiwan in mind, is about to spring a 'technical surprise' on the world.
The latest carrier rumours have caught the attention of America's full, frenetic political spectrum: A detailed account also appeared on a website far to the left of any pro-gun posse - the Federation of American Scientists (FAS), an arms-control advocacy group.
The FAS report quotes an 'article published in China' that claimed that one of the shipyards was expected to complete the first 48,000-ton carrier, currently named 'Project 9935', this year. All three ships, claimed the FAS item, 'could be operational with battle groups by 2008-2010'.

Just ran across this very interesting article, yesterday:
The great Chinese aircraft carrier mystery

If this is so, here's the million dollar question:
Being that you can't seemingly hide the construction of one large carrier, let alone three, and with both Taiwan and Japan having recon abilites and the US having SAT abilites, how are the Chinese maintaining this as secret and how are "we" not aware of their construction?

And one thing what made US super power that copied from Russia was space carying rockets, satelites and other stuff. Or everyone knows paralel aircraft tail rudders that were copied from Mig-25 to F-15 by US scientist when Viktor Belenko landed with Mig-25 in japan. I think there are many things that were stolen from ech other of them. Today most significat technology stolen from Russian labs are Ion-engines, resp. plasma powered engines. One of the future satelites powered by such a engine was already released, but I don't know his name now. Ion-engines are able to maintain a high velocity speed 3-4 times higher than ordinary rocket engine and be much more efficiet at the same time.
