Have fun, and please do! It will be interesting to see if something similar happens.

And thanks to you and those that went to all the trouble with the video. I would imagine that it took a good amount of time for all that you did.

Looking forward to hearing about your trip!

i have read the first page of comments and nobody said anything about this

but when you ask your son at around 1:40-1:50 or earlier maybe 1:20-1:40 i forget

but you ask him if he wants to go up these hills, and he says "nooo" pretty....well like he doesn't want to go there

i didn't want the whole video, but he is talking normal then you start asking him about which hills he wants to go climb or something and you ask him about the one and he says "nooo" in a different voice, and he sounds like he genuinely doesn't want to go there

he sounds like if you were to go to those hills, you would have a little problem on your hands, he sounds pretty sure of not wanting to go

ok so i watched the first video quite a few times and the fist time i was like o my god there it is. i did see the tree/plant/balloon everyone was talking about but after a few more views i actually think that its some of the teeny tiny writing on the bottom right of ur windshield. the top print it larger then the rest and very close together making it look like one shape and when you start going over bumps and moving the camera it makes it appear to make jerky movements/disappear and reappear.
however, in the the second one you put up i think i actually saw something strange around :56 sec. when your driving past the 2 tall metal structures there is an object beside the one on the left around the middle/bottom. it didn't appear to be attatched in any way, but who knows maybe im just tired.
does anyone else see what im talking about?
but reguardless of whether or not you got it on film your son is definitely, ver convincingly, upset about something and the voice change was pretty creepy.
i always used to ask my mother if she would believe me if i ever told her told her about something strange like that, just to make sure. children are strange that way, they pick up on a lot more then we do most of the time.

Trask,

Here is the video of myself, my son and my Dad wheelin. Nothing too crazy. In fact I was too immersed waiting for my father to catch up. I only recorded ~ 15 mins of video on this 4 hour trek (first 15 mins). My father has a camera mounted in his rig pinting forward. Once I obtain his video I will post it. My son rode with him for about 30 mins, rest with me. In any case, here is the video I captured. I was not able to find the quartz outcrop. I know it is within 1/4 mile of waypoint (GPS) "Firwood" [from the previous trip, image recorded below]. See below of the trail I took with gps tracks screen shot.

Hey there SeeThruTheSurface,

I watched the 2nd video again as well, I don't see what you are looking at. I don't have a much trained eye however.

As far as the print on the window, definately. The jeep is extremely dusty so, well er yeah you will see alot of junk. , You can tell in the pic she went some good miles in raw dirt/dust. The only writing (I can see) on the windshield is exactly width wise centered on the bottom of the shield.

Here are a few pics of the windshield for reference; 3rd being best of writing on window. The others just show no writing and dust/grime/dirt.

1st. 2nd
3rd 4th
5th 6th

With that being said, here is the entire route I took, I uploaded the GPS tracks to google earth and printed the screen view. Disregard the track that starts from lower left diagonaly to the waypoint 12. I believe when I turned on the GPS it tracked to that point from my house (or bug in GE). There is no way I drove in that much of a straight line, not too mention I15 is to the left. The real track starts at waypoint 012.

GPS Tracks

Here is the video. I do not see anything out of the ordinary at all. Albeit I did not record alot. Although I am dissapointed I didn't find the previous quartz rock (very large, perhaps as large has a house). Next time I am fairly sure I can nail it. In fact, I think an hour of time based on the location, I bet I could spot the location in google earth. Heck, some of you can probably find it faster than I.

4 Wheel video in Mojave (Stoddard)

Sorry for the non you tube or ifilm etc. There is music on it, that they don't want played (ifilm) and the size is to large for youtube. ~50 meg.

Take care, and Have a great night.
