Three children are believed to have been kidnapped by their father in a
rural Georgia town. The state has issued an Amber Alert to secure the public's help in locating the missing children, who are said to be in
"extreme danger."
Jerry William Jones is not only wanted for the kidnapping, but also for a quadruple murder. Late Wednesday night, authorities in Ranger, GA responded
to the murder scene to find four victims, including Jones' own ten month old daughter, dead. The children's grandparents, Tommy and Nola Blalock
and their aunt, Georgia Bradley, died from multiple gunshot wounds. Reports are conflicting, but the infant was either strangled or shot. Jones
appeared to have made an attempt to hide the bodies, but his phone call to his estranged wife boasting of the crime is what led authorities to the
house.
The missing children are:
Brittney Phelps - 10 (Jones' step-daughter)
Brandy Jones - 4
Tammy Jones - 3
Jones is believed to be driving a red or maroon 1991 Ford Explorer with Georgia tags 730YFV, and may be headed towards Florida, where he has
relatives. Alabama has also issued an Amber Alert for the children, as Jones was also believed to be heading towards the state line.
In his chilling admission phone call to the girls' mother, Jones threatened to start killing the children "one by one" if she went to
authorities.
