For a moment, I'm going to attempt to ignore all specific conspiracies. In order to do this thread justice, I need to introduce a few concepts. These aren't exactly new to many of us in the conspiracy community. However, they need to be addressed.

First Concept: The Illusion of Safety

We all like to think that we're generally pretty safe in our lives. As we go about our business. Our governments like us to believe that we are safe. When the public believes we are secure, we acknowledge the powers than be for granting us this security, and maintaining a level of order in our lives.

Now, think for a moment. How safe are we, really? In reality, there is virtually nothing the government can do to secure us. If someone is determined enough to extinguish our lives, they will find a way.

The government cannot even protect Presidents. Lincoln, JFK, RFK, MLK, Reagan, The Pope. These figures, you'd hope, that we could keep safe. They theoretically represent the power of the people. Yet all of this people were attacked successfully. The list goes on and on. Whether other forces were involved or not, these people were successfully attacked. These people who had far greater security than we the average citizen has.

On September 11th, many Americans woke up to the realization that they could die at any time. The tragedies that followed, the DC Sniper, Anthrax in the mail, Katrina, etc helped to drive the point home.

Yet, people like to believe they are safe. The government feeds the ignorance. "Duck and cover" was suggested to save of from the threat of nuclear attack. Plastic and Duct tape was promised to deliever us from the dangers of chemical and biological weapons.

There's an interesting show on tv. I believe it's called "To catch a thief". The premise is, they warn a family or business that they're going to be burglarized, and then some ex criminals break in and shatter this illusion of safety that people have by stealing their possessions, often in broad daylight. They've even taken out a police station.

What does this tell you?

If someone wants you dead at any cost, you're dead. All that is needed is enough planning. You can't keep your children safe. You can't keep your home safe. You can't even protect yourself. We are such a fragile race.

Even natural events that have a great deal of warning, such as hurricanes deal massive casualties and property damage.

We as a people will do anything to survive. (In general) We cling to the feeble notion of safety, and adhere to rules because "that's all that protects us from chaos." But are we really safe? No.

The government feeds the fears just alittle bit. It may cause or exagerate the coverage of events that terrify us, and then assure us that THEY can protect us. We the people in turn are talked into giving greater power to the authority. With this new power, surely we are safe.

However in this action, those that question the almighty delieverers of freedom and security are shot down, and called traitors. You need only look at history. Nazi Germany, The Soviet Union, ancient Rome. You can find this again and again. When politicians amass power, that power has to come from somewhere? It gets siphoned away from the people.

Feed the fear, and then promise safety in exchange for even greater authority. Make big promises, appear regal, and rule the people. The ignorant will in turn, defend you tooth and nail for those promises. They don't realize that power and money are more valuable than their lives.

When something becomes "unquestionable", you know someone has too much power. But what can we do? Nothing. Nothing at all. We the people are powerless. We can't protect ourselves, and they can't protect us. But they can promise protection, and in turn, they can attain the throne for those promises.

Second Concept: Faith

The next in logical progression is faith. If you want to control the masses, you need to offer them more. Beyond safety of the flesh, you secure them from the great black teeth of death itself.

How many have been utterly manipulated by this belief that something better awaits them? It paints a beautiful image, it offers a promise of hope. No matter how bad our present circumstances, greatness awaits us.

IF

We follow a particular path.

I'm not saying that there is nothing beyond this life. But the promise of knowledge and protection in the hereafter is quite a potent way to dominate the masses.

Look at how many were slaughtered for the crusades? The witch hunts? For the sake of evangelizing the world? It appears that "God" kills more people than anyone else.

For more recent examples look at The People's Temple,The Family, Heaven's Gate, The Branch Davidians..

While we're on topic, check out this movie.

www.obsessionthemovie.com...

It offers a terrifying look into how religion is being used to manipulate people around the world.

Look at all of the things we have done to others in the name of religion. Tortured, killed, raped, brainwashed.

It's all in the breeding. We raise our children to follow an ideal path. Of course this path is corrupted by our bias. So the children almost always end up following in our footsteps. Each successive generation the hold becomes even stronger. When you're raised to think a certain way, when you see all other alternatives as evil, you have a very narrow point of view. This can be used to manipulate the masses further still, using them as puppets.

If you believed you were doing God's will, what is man's law? Nothing. Man has no authority over God, so you go with the big man upstairs. But, who determines God's will? Who disseminates God's master plan? Men. Men who often times, seek power, and authority. What people way to rule than stand at the foot of God and pass down divine edict?

No matter how much blood is shed, or how many tears are cried, and how much gold fills their cauphers, they still want more. These men of God are so eager to slaughter those heretics and blasphemers. It is the will of Heaven.

You can argue for or against religion. However, the fact is, religion has, many times, been used by people who seek power to manipulate the masses, and persecute the outsiders. Once again, like our "Illusion of Safety" those who don't follow the program are the enemies. Do you see a pattern emerging? I do.

So, they promise safety in this world, and beyond that, should we succumb to the abyss, they can promise us safety, security and freedom in the hereafter. Why worry about our torments of this world, when an eternity of pleasure awaits us on the other side of the veil?

When men who seek power become the voice of God, beware. Only heartache can follow. No matter what atrocities you commit, as long as you do them in the name of the almighty, you're golden.

The fact is, men desire power. With time, you can have it, so long as you can wear the guise of authority, there is nothing you cannot make a man do. It is not God they have faith in, but your word. Your unquestionable word. What fool dare stand against thee? Arguing with you is arguing against God. God is greater than any man or kingdom, for no one else can promise you eternity.

No one besides, the preacher. But of course we can trust him. He's a man of God. A man of great faith. God wills it! Ha!

These preachers, so pious, so modest, build for themselves castles of ivory and God. But not for them. Of course not. But for God. The creator of everything needs more power, and trinkets, and money.

When man takes the place of God, you must wonder when his flesh was replaced with ether, and his blood with everlasting flame?

Third Concept: Patriotism

In theory, Patriotism is a great thing. Pride in your country, and what it stands for. Willingness to defend. That sounds nice. Warms the cockles o' me heart.

However, patrotism is yet another way to filter out the "outsiders". Those that don't belong. Those that don't belong are the enemy.

The peasents outnumber the politicians, however, when you use these filters to divide the world into "us" and "them" you further isolate those who can think beyond the propaganda.

Faith is the propaganda of preachers, Patriotism is the propaganda of polticians.

This valuable tool of conquest allows the powers that be to turn anyone who disagrees or challenges them into enemies of the state, and traitors, who deserve death.

These enemies threaten the very principles upon which our lives are founded on. They challenge our way of life. They must be terminated.

It's an ancient military tactic. Cut off the enemy's resources. When you have a barrier of patriotism between your opposition, and your flock, they cannot spread the word. They cannot gather resources. They are trapped. The people themselves can become worse than what they're fighting.

In Rome, you did not question the Emperor. He would have you killed and that would be that. You are a traitor of the state.

In Nazi Germany, you did not quetsion Hitler. You would have become an example to all those who would oppose Der Furhrer.

In The Soviet Union, you did not quetsion Stalin. You would have been ground into dust.

In Iraq, you did not question Saddam. If you were his enemy, you were dead.

Dictatorships emerge from "men of the people". Initially, the people are all for it. They "earned" the power. Once power is absolute, crushing your enemies becomes child play. Questioning the authority becomes treason.

Usually, a dictator assumes power when a threat emerges. There's a new enemy. A disaster happens. They could protect us, if only they had the power. They use that tried and true tactic...The Illusion of Safety. Then all of us fall in line.

Fear is a powerful motivator.

Patriotism makes the authority's will unquestionable. See a pattern here yet? Once fear takes hold of a person, your authority over that person becomes unquestionable. You make them promises of glory, and they fall into your hands. Like flies to sugar, they come to you. All you need to do is set the trap, and let things fall into motion.

You use the tools available to you. You play the role of the hero with one mask, and with another, you secure pieces. You become the savior, in order to destroy. It is a common theme throughout history.

History repeats. But do we acknowledge the lessons of the past?

The State=Safety. When you challenge the State, you are a traitor. You threaten security. You must be stopped. There is no way around it. An enemy is an enemy. When your opponent is Safety, who would stand by you? Who -wouldn't- stand against you?

When you paint a picture of the outsider, you control their public image. This image will provoke a snap judgment, and the people would fall into your hands. Of course, you do not have to believe me. Just look at history.

Patriotism can lead to the destruction of a nation's values, when manipulated correctly. Do not be afraid. Stand by us. We'll protect you from all those bad men. Just trust us, and it'll all turn out ok.

People desire power. Above all else, they seek power, and eliminate opposition by any means nessicery. We the people, becomes "he, the King."

People are fundamentally easy to manipulate. Using the tactics listed earlier, we've explored how a culture can change. These are methods to cement power over the masses. By controliing the imagery, and making the correct moves, people can attain power.

Mass brainwashing tactics. The longer an idealogy or regime lasts, the more potent it's hold. As new generations are born into the programing, who even realizes they are being controlled?

Men above all else, desire power. This is the theme for all conspiracy. Control information. Make your side of the story the only side of the story. Beat it into the minds of the masses. Make your word a sacred mantra.

Knowing that men long for power so, why would anyone think that we do not live in a world full of conspiracy? With patience, and the right moves, a bold person or group can set themselves in the heavens.

I've painted a picture for you. These are facts, repeated and easily illustrated throughout history. Why then, now, that we are in this age of technological wonder, and image control, would we assume that all is as it appears?

Imagine, if you will, a group with moderate resources, biding their time, and cementing power behind the scenes. Ruling from the shadows, and slowly spreading across the land. As the sphere of influence of this group expands over..centuries, they have their hands in every jar.

Placing well trained, willing puppets in prominent positions. Their actions need not be bold. Their personal actions are through their puppets. They themselves are unknown. When you rule from the shadows, no one even knows you exist, so what danger are you in from revolution?

Donate some money, call in a few favors, there is no office you could not give away. From a distance you pass down you will, when you give money to someone to give money to someone to give money to someone to buy weapons with, you can control warfare, the media, the governments, without the people even knowing you're there. Should there be a revolution, you, and your holds are safe, and only a few pawns are shuffled from the board. It is simply a matter of positioning others to take their places.

If you move quickly and boldly in the woods, the animals will notice you and be alerted to your presence. However, if you move very slowly, from out of sight, they don't even know you're there. When the culprit is nabbed, who goes looking for higher ups? When even the puppets don't know who is pulling the strings there is no chance of finding the master.

If you initiate an action, you keep yourself many intermediaries away from the action, keeping yourself away from speculation. No one would waste time looking for someone they don't even know exists. Where would you find such a theoretical person?

We like to believe things are as they seem. But this very forum exists to point out that they aren't. Why would the NWO stick their neck out and risk someone following the strings back to their masters? They're content in ruling from the shadows safely. Fame, money, war, means nothing to those who rule the world. Their purpose is power.

The question isn't "are we ruled from the shadows?" The question is "is there anything that isn't?"

Imagine what Stalin could do, if he belonged to an organzaition that was plotting and amassing power for centuries, and if he kept himself out of the public's conciousness?

From here, you may insert any conspiracies you want. ET's, demons, government agencies.

Men desire power above everything else. There is nothing he will not do to get it. Who would not be enticed?

Now, who controls the foods we eat, the medicines we recieve, what's appropriate for television? The government. Who controls what our children are taught? The government.

What's that you say? The government couldn't purposely have our children be educated with lies! These are the people who said Columbus discovered America, Washington was the first President, marijuana makes you grow breasts, and ducking under a wooden desk will save you from a nuclear blast...

Yeah. They lie to our children.

They control every facet of our lives. There is nothing the government cannot influence. Now, tell me..If a nobody could shoot a President or a Pope, what could a government official do to you?

The key to cementing power is making others rely on you. For example, China provides the US a great deal of food. If they poisoned the food supply, many would die, and there's nothing we could do about it. Or, they could deny us food. When you rely on others, you give up some of your power. When others rely on you, they give you power.

You "share the wealth" with others a bit, so that they come to depend on you. However, then, you need to have enough power left over to keep yourself from depending on others.

Just some thoughts..

This latest generation of US citizens may well be the last.

Note these changes and draw your own conclusions.

-This is the fattest generation, by far. 10 years ago I'd go to the fair and most of the teen girls were fit. Today, most that I see have a roll or two.
-At no other time were youths on this much medication
-Physical activity has been greatly phased out in place of the internet and silumation
- In the 70's a student could get in a fist fight with a teacher, and be suspended for 3 days. Now, a student could be beaten up in school, and he would likely be suspended for 10 days and arrested for fighting.

- A greater percentage of young people are living with their parents either for lack of ambition or inability to find work that pays high enough to move out.

- This is a nation that forgot the lesson of "sticks and stones". As we sink into a greater level of political correctness instead of remebering this lesson, we cry at the offensive. Firing people for words, crucifying public figures for a slip of the tongue.

- Deep political divide has the nation battling itself tooth and nail.

- The US has lost much of it's global influence. It's exports are heavily tariffed, yet it's imports are not. It becomes increasingly reliant on other nations, as jobs and resources are exported. Those who travel abroad meet increasing hostility from people of other countries.

- Mercenaries take the position of US soldiers, much the same as Rome did near the fall.

-Peoples lives are increasingly becoming about the earning and loss of money, as opposed to happiness.

You could argue that this is a skewed point of view. Looking up at the rest of this thread, I wonder if this is in fact a skewed point of view, or is it the result of some unseen force's will, engineering our downfall.

I am actually undecided on it. With this thread I merely wanted to bring a few concepts to the table.

TheGreySwordsman - You have a lot correct.

The saddest thing is that many of the problems are now being self-sustained by the victims. Take unthinking patriotism. Have you ever noticed just how many american flags to which americans are exposed every day? They see a stars and stripes nearly every waking moment. It may not be in their primary visual zone but it is around somewhere. If it is in a person's peripheral vision it goes into their subconscious without processing. This repeated exposure is a powerful propaganda and brainwashing tool. The thing is that the PTB no longer have to get it out there - the brainwashees are to the point that they feel uncomfortable without it and are plastering it around at their own expense.

If you challenge one of the "my country right or wrong" brigade, you get involuntary agression and an intellectual barrier. This is just what the PTB wants - robots.

Grey Swordsman, excellent post! You obviously put alot of thought and effort into your post. Sadly, it is all too true. I would also add yet another technique used to control the people: Divide and conquer. THe more they can keep things like class struggles and racism alive, the more divided we become against each other. The PTB are doing an excellent job of that with the red state/blue state thing, abortion and gay marriage - all very divisive issues.

Thanks for the reply!

Honestly, I was considering adding divide and conquer, but I wasn't sure of how to word it so that it fit the same train of thought as the others. But of course it's also a vital tactic in their arsenal. Politics too. Keep the little people bickering, and it offers the perfect disguise, making many think the PTB are too incompetent to have any conspiracies going on without us knowing about it.

Great thread op!

They all kinds of tactics to sideline us from knowing the truth, giving us tabloid news instead of real news, then if they do tell us anything it's only a small part of the story. The politicians argue and put on a big show, but seldom do the people's bidding.

Those flags we all buy to show our patriotism are made in china, a communist country, so when we buy them we unknowingly support communism.

In years past to support our soldiers we were told to grow gardens, buy war bonds, gas, and sugar was rationed.

Now they tell us to go shopping so the terrorists know they did not win.
We are so manipulated into being good little shoppers thus good little consumers, we are bombarded with ads on tv and trash tv for entertainment. And all the while they line their pockets.

They control us on so many levels. Initially I was planning on talking about everyone I could think of, but decided not to.

The news, why focus on real issues when we can know what's up with Paris? The real world is depressing! They keep us distracted. The country is growing weak, but the masses don't see it.

We all dance to the tune of our unseen masters. Why, oh why can't they see? It seems so obvious to me.

In times past we supported the troops, as you said, by buying warbonds, saving tin for the war effeort, etc. Now yelling "support the troops!" is enough. The United States is supposed to be able to fight to major foreign wars on different shores. However, we're bogged down playing it PC is some pissant little country, fighting a guerilla war they say they never expected or weren't trained for.

Instead of doing the war right, they invest it on high tech toys that cost millions of dollars and are extremely high maintainance. I'm positive that all of that money could be more effectively spent.

The war currently being faught is not being faught to win. It's being faught to be PC, and to be profitable. The taxpayers money you can spend like water, there's other many to be made.

I can't accept that generals, whose lives are dedicated to war could have such a hard time. The threat is even returning in Afghanistan. I have to believe that this war was schemed up to divide the people of the US, and to make them upset with a seemingly incompetent government.

The PTB are not that stupid. I'm fairly psoitive that there's a lot more going on with this than meets the eye.

When they have the power to influence and guide every facet of our lives, how could the masses not be manipulated? It's so easy! Lives mean nothing to the PTB.

As I said, I don't even have to say anything about a specific conspiracy, I laid the ground work, the reader may insert whatever diabolical plots they wish.

Thank you for your excellent posts.

This is the crux of the matter, fear of the unknown, which all the other safety concerns spring from. To me true 'faith', for lack of a better word, is knowing the soul continues on after this physical life is over. Religions profess to offer this insight but they just play on the fear too, to manipulate people into behaving a certain way.

The idea that after death one will be rewarded or punished for specified behaviors, that notion springs from fear, lack of confidence in one's own ability to behave honorably.

Because of the fear of death, we cling to life and the material, the physical, believing that is all that is real. So we have to defend it, lest someone take it away, more fears that prevent from truly living and enjoying our short time here.

Then there's fears of losing status or not being smart or attractive enough, etc, most personalities are collections of fears and defensive tactics.

Very easy to manipulate by those in power.

Thank you! I'm pleased that you enjoy them.

Far be it from me to tell people what awaits them beyond that black curtain. I'm a rather spiritual person myself. However, history proves time and again that the charismatic, or simply the patient can prey on these fears that people have.

I hate to sound pessimistic, but people are easily manipulated. I believe that if the right techniques are applied, anyone can be manipulated into doing about anything. If I felt my loved ones were in danger, I am sure I could somehow be coerced into dancing to the beat of their drum.

If indeed, there was any knowledge or information that existed in this world that could be a threat, that information would be nigh impossible to locate, and owuld be immeditaely discredited. Notice how quickly those with "alternative" ideas are pounced upon? We are conditioned to believe things exist and occur in a certain way.

Pawns serve a paper justice as they are scripted to slaughter the innocent. For they are the enemy. To ensure our security, the enemy must be terminated. Even if good men should fall, it is a worthy cause, for they die in service to the state. The people's will is unquestioned. The people want security. Our will is the will of the people.

I'm glad someone liked that thread! It took a decent chunk of my day to write. At all levels, there has been a significant effort over many centuries to ban that information. It's blasphemy to some, new age mumbo jumbo to others. They discredited that sort of information so strongly, even many here on ATS wouldn't give it a second glance.

Thank you for taking an interest in my threads. I really do appreciate it when people read what I put out there without completely writing it off.

If anyone wants to look at that thread, here it is.

I'm interested in these kinds of ideas, and you express yourself very well.

The stumbling block with encouraging people to think for themselves, and make changes that require concentrated long-term effort, is that its too hard, and it takes so long to see results, there's no instant gratification.

Not OT for this thread either; thats another reason people are easy to manipulate, the effort it takes to maintain comfort levels doesn't leave a lot of energy for anything else.

Thank you for the compliment.

I understand fully why this is challenging for most people. This thread points out so many of the reasons why the information I'm trying to pass along never gets anywhere. People are taught to avoid this kind of thing at the cost of their very souls.

The very nature of seeking self-improvement is going beyond your comfort levels, and in fact seeking discomfort. It is here that we truely learn about ourselves.

The programing of the masses has killed interest in the information I share in my Opposition thread. Even if this current thread were to hit mainstream news, outraged people would send death threats and thousands of bloggers would call me a fool and a conspiracy nut.

This conditioning is so strong..People's inability to think for themselves and take charge of their own lives is truely the test that was failed in the proverbial Eden. When you seek safety and knowledge outside, you relinquish the power and value of what lies inside as mere fantasy.

Truth those institutions try and kill us, all this poision of the mind and body they spew and people are under the spell to care. It's mind control at it's finest. I understand what's going on. Thanks for this post, I'll be reading it all day smiling that somebody else is saying these things...
