Give Us Some SOUND OFF Topics

If it hasn't been said, I think a Mac/PC soundoff topic would be pretty sweet. I know there are quite a few Mac users on here.

How about a Harry Potter sound off.

Whats with these people that take days off work, dress up, and then wait in line hours to get the book? Isn't there like 100 million copies coming out?

It would be interesting to understand the mentality of these people. I read about some weddings being cancelled because of the book release. The bride and/or groom just HAD to get the book and read it. That darn wedding just got in the way.

That's completely crazy.

...to see the next Star Wars movie.

...to be the first in line to buy an iPhone.

...to be the first in line to get a PS3.

...to go to a Star Trek convention.

...to see a pro wrestling event.

...to get into a comic book convention.

Fact is there are rabid fans out there, and in their life the priorities are different than what is the "accepted social norm."

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it, but by no means is this behavior exclusive to Harry Potter.

I would love to hear some paranormal/spirituality topics.

I think the concept of God is really too much to handle in one sound off...

However, maybe if you narrow it down to topics like meditation, prayer, and the like...

Or how each person (who does believe in a higher power) connects with this being, energy, light, force, or however they view it.

Personal ET experiences would be great, but maybe you'd have to expand the time to about a minute. We read a lot of threads on ATS that seem quite ridiculous at times, but if someone made a podcast about it maybe would lend a little more credibility. Maybe .

I know some people must think I'm absolutely out of my mind, maybe I am . I couldn't tell you could I now if I'm crazy .

How about internet investigating vs

Let's not leave out UFOs as nuts and bolts objects. Maybe we go far afield here on ATS sometimes, but people are reporting a lot of strange sightings.

There are some interesting reports coming out of Europe.

Maybe do a show that makes Americans aware that this is not just a thing that happens in the US, but that Europe, South America, and a lot of places have reports of some strange things in the sky.

Yeah, South America and Spain have been reporting a tremdous amount of sightings over the last few years... Mexico has been bombarded with sightings.

Theres only 1. i would like to hear about.


What will it take for our american brothers to rise up and overthrow the obviously corrupt government out on its ass?? (by peacfull or otherwise means) i mean there mmust be a peacfull way of doing it right?

The evidence is overwhelming, there stomping all over you and the rest of the world. so at what point is enough, enough?

1: Is it possible to create a new internet that competes with the current one??

2: If Mexicans are taking all the jobs we wont do, how come i never see a help wanted sign in front of a farm?

3: Why are people so vain that they will pay 90 dollars for a pair of pants from areocrombie, but complain when gas goes up 2 cents?

4: What special powers are in elements like gold, and things like quartz qrystals.

OK here is my idea please don't flame me.
I would like the notion of faith to be discussed because the concept of holding beliefs that aren't backed up by any evidence could spread to the likes of 9-11 and Iraq's WMDs e.tc. That would be that angle that would interest me and if possible I would like to see an atheist and someone of faith take part in the discussion.

I hope that you can understand my suggestion.

I would like to see a show done on the causes of Islamic extremism. Another member and I have radically different views on this matter so I think that it would make for very interesting subject matter.

I would like to see a show done on the US military strategy and tactics in Vietnam. I love to hear somebody try and defend blowing up an entire village to save it and the lunacy of having helicopters giving away your position just so the GIs wouldn't have to eat C rations.

Well we're hearing all about the American economy all over the news here in the UK. I realized today though that I don't hardly understand what the heck is going on since there's so many aspects to it, such as oil and the sub prime situation. If you guys could run a piece explaning in laymen's terms what the heck is happening exactly, that'd be great.

Economic commentators on the news do kinda give explanations, but the explanation is from a foriegn perspective which I guess doesn't see all aspects of the situation. Also they look at the problem from a purely average joe standpoint, they dont like to stick their career on the line talking about crazy economic conspiracy stuff.

Oh and I wanna say Dave and Johnny you guys are great! You guys are really funny and genuinely nice guys. I've only started recently listening to your shows, so it's been great for me to listen to a bunch in a row. It's gonna suck when I've listened to 'em all lol

I got an idea for a show after seeing something here on ATS that showed up on major News stations.

The space sasquatch story. I know, not the best story, but interesting none the less. You can read about it in this thread.

It seems some news agencies are reading ATS and probably other sites and writing a story and even quoting members comments, but they didn't give any credit to ATS. I think this kind of shows how sites like ATS are having a real effect on media just like the Revolution that Skeptic Overlord described.
