CIA to air decades of its dirty laundry

This will definatly be worth taking a look at.

The CIA will declassify hundreds of pages of long-secret records detailing some of the intelligence agency's worst illegal abuses -- the so-called "family jewels" documenting a quarter-century of overseas assassination attempts, domestic spying, kidnapping and infiltration of leftist groups from the 1950s to the 1970s, CIA Director Michael V. Hayden said yesterday.

Wow. This may finally open the eyes of the sheeple that the CIA sometimes works on its own and covers up information. A lot of us on this forum already know that, but the majority of people think the CIA is this perfect little entity protecting us.

I don't know, sounds really fishy to me. Why would the CIA declassify information that will show them in a bad light or worse discredit themselves?

That really don't make a lot of sense to me.
