135. That's too long. I'll bump off an evil politician or religious leader before then and retire in prison. Three hots and a cot, free medical,
and I'll be too old for anyone to want to bone me up the rear.
Actually, it's quite worrying, this whole "ageing population" thing
Our State Pensions are going to be paid to more people, with less working taxpayers to pay for it, now, im dont really know much about America's
welfare system, but here in the UK, we might be looked on to be living in a "nanny state" the welfare state already provides for disadvantaged
groups in many ways, if the elderly population were to grow, this would put an enormous strain on our "cradle to the grave" system of benefits,
meaning,
Retirement age (and indeed, the age at which state pension can be claimed) will be much higher than what it is at the moment (65 i think it still is
unless it has gone up as it is planned)
Taxes may be raised to accomodate for this increase in pension cost
Money might also be taken and other benefits cut or discontinued to provide for the elderly.
