HUNTINGTON, W.Va. -- Running back Quincy Wilson was charged with disorderly conduct for failing to disperse after a weekend wedding party, making him the 10th Cincinnati Bengals player arrested in the past 14 months.

Wilson

The former West Virginia star was with a wedding party celebrating outside a downtown bar around 3 a.m. Sunday when he and 13 others refused a police request to leave, assistant prosecuting attorney Lora Maynard said Monday.

Some were charged with disorderly conduct, others with obstructing justice and underage drinking, police Lt. Hank Dial said.

The running back was booked at a jail and released Sunday afternoon. He is scheduled to appear in Huntington Municipal Court on July 19.

Wilson is the 10th Bengals player arrested in the past 14 months, a streak of misconduct that drew the attention of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, resulted in three suspensions and made Cincinnati an example of players gone bad.

Wilson is the third former West Virginia player in the NFL to get into trouble in recent years. Wilson was the Mountaineers' leading rusher his final season.

This is crap... they all need to be fined and suspended games, not just one or two games either.

I can't imagine getting to play a sport as a career and making a lot of money doing it. I'd never ever ever, do anything to jeaprodize that.

It's already enough.

I doubt if the league wll do anything meaningful as long as the scum can produce money.

The money will continue to roll in as long as the fans buy tickets and the products that sponsor the sport.

Only an idiot can't see what the problem is and when it started, but you can't turn back the clock.

In all fairness there's more of this BS in basketball than there is in the NFL. With the exception of the Bengal's. Man, that's a team that's out of control. Remember when Garcia got a DUI? He was out of San Fran in short order.

sports is the issue. You have a lot of these people who are treated differently because they can play a sport. It just didn't happen in the pros, but in high school and college as well. Lots of incidents are kept quiet. IN the pro's it's just a little more difficult to keep a wrap on these things.

The NFL should look into mental disorder, as I see that being an issue as well...

When sports teams value character as much as athletic ability, things will change.

Sports teams will value character as much a athletic ability when fans, especially parents, hit them hard in the wallet.

That's not likely to happen in a nation that idolizes Paris Hilton, Anna Nicole Smith, Rosie O'Donnell, Ellen Degeneres, Snoop Dog, and a host of other scumbags.
