lysergic, he wasnt enforcing his views on anyone. was he forcing them to believe the scripture? did he have a gun to their head, quoting the bible? no, i think not. i see no 'enforcing' here. the way the constitution is written, i should be able to display openly what i please and what i feel is close to me in my religion, just as you should be aswell. however, with this false notion of there being some seperation of church and state, which doesnt legally exist, we cant do that. wonderful world, eh?

Why can't these people just agree to disagree, like adults (the gay company / and christian employee)

My point was that I don't think the same standards would apply if the shoes were on the other feet. What if the employer had a 'Jesus week' and put up signs all over the office about Christianity (or something along those lines). I'd bet my life that the 9th circuit would not rule in the employers favor under those conditions! a side question for any of you that care to answer: Do you have Christmas Parties at your work or Holiday Parties. And, do you work with more gays or Christians?

Why can't we just go to work, and work? Why all this 'stuff' in the workplace anyway?

Wait let me get this # straight. This asshole posted this on his desk.

"If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."

A quote basically saying that all gay people should be murdered in his desk at work where there are homosexual employees who work there and he got fired. Well BOOO-#ing-WHoooo!!! He got what he deserved for being a Bigot!!

If a man posted something on his desk at work saying "I hate black or hispanics or asians people" everyone would be up in arms here. But since its gay people its ok? Are you people #ing retarded?

Let me start posting PRO-SLAVERY quotes from the Bible all over the place too then. The Bible is full of messages from "God". And we all know he is a Hater, Ignorant, Vengeful, Evil, and Controlling entity. If you post something from a book written to worship some SOB controller, expect repercussions!

At the last job I worked at, it was with a group of about 12 or 13 people, plus the regional managers whenever they'd come to check out how things were going. I ended getting into it with my manager because she wanted everyone to participate in the store Christmas party. I told her I wouldn't participate, I'm not a Christian. She then told me "Then think of it as just a party, it's all just for fun anyways." I still declined, stating that I have no intentions of participating in a party to celebrate a holiday that's not included in my religion. I stated all this in a very clear, non aggressive, structured manner. She thought this was insubordination, took it in to a district manager, who took it to a regional manager. Two days later, I lost my job due to insubordination.

Doesn't work. A friend of mine got choked *full on choked, both hands* by his boss when he was working concrete, and the lawsuit just resorted in him having lawyer fees and court costs.

I've had to work with racists and homophobes and even people that said if you weren't Baptist you'd go to hell.

The problem was most weren't stupid enough to put it in writing and post it in their office.

This guy deserved to be fired for being an IDIOT.

A gay co-worker of mine has his homepage set to a gay porn site and everyone knows it but no one will do anything about it because it could possibly infringe on his right to be gay. But if I pulled up a porn site I would be fired on the spot. True story here, Read it and weep the world has become ultra politically correct.

Exactely what I tryed to point. " Gays have now more rights than straight & if you try to point it.....Well, you know what will be your fate !!! At least you'll be called a fanatical religious, especially if you're Christian ".

P.S : And I'm not a Christian fundamentalist.
