Another one flew over today.

I've lived at this location for about a year. I have never seen them before. Then a few weeks ago I leave for work and there's one coming straight at me. Flying from the SW to NE.

More often I see them flying along the same course, almost directly over my home, from NE to SW. Now I see them once, sometimes twice a week. I'm only here in the mornings and evenings, but I see them at both times.

I know of no bases along that trajectory. Whitemans AFB and Ft. Riley are almost due East and West, respectively. Leavenworth is to the NW.

The fact that they seem to follow the same path both ways suggests to me that they are following a common route between two locations.

I first started seeing them before the EF-5 tornado in Kansas, so I know they aren't flying recovery assistance.

Is anyone aware of any explanation for this increased activity? Could this be simple routine training that I wasn't here for last summer?
