If you love the snap
Of the M16
As the bolt goes home
Then you know what I mean

If five A.M.
Is a late morning sleep
And boots on pavement
Make your heart skip a beat

If a nice evening walk
Is a sack and a pack
And you go to the head
And sleep in a rack

If fifty mile days
And four hour nights
Is vacation to you
Then you fight the good fight

For all you that stand
Those that fight not just talk
I salute you my friends
For walking the walk
