WTF! I've been trying to upload a post since about 2:30 today and I keep getting this message: Not Acceptable

An appropriate representation of the requested resource /forum/post.php could not be found on this server.

I am under the character limit and can see no reason this should have trouble posting.

So I'm going to try posting it in pieces until the whole thing is up... PLEASE bare with me...

It'll also include an addendum as I've received another email from John since this post was composed earlier.

I was thinking the same thing Mo... Why take the time to set up
an astrovideo/photo rig for a few shot of the ISS then call it a
night after a few shots. Surely he'd scan around for other interesting
objects.

Unfortunately without the coordinates, date and time when these images were aquired we'll never be able to rule out with 100% certainty weather these objects are representative of the ISS, satellites, or "starships".

The only thing "we" have left are the coordinates and
this image from the www.we-are-not-alone.us..." target="_blank" class="postlink" rel="nofollow">we-are-not-alone site, which is my assumption John used to locate his anomalies.

A talented person with a good scope and camera could easily prove or disprove the reality of these objects over several good viewing nights.

I'd like to thank everyone who posted in this thread (even though I 'jacked it from Implosion ). It was a really fun exercise and exactly the thing we need to be doing if we're really trying to "Deny Ignorance".

With that being said I present the final correspondence between Mr. John Lenard and myself. ENJOY!

My reply
Sorry John, I understand your concern regarding this situation and will respect your wishes. I will discontinue communications with you regarding this topic. It's regretful we need to terminate communications as I'm still curious as to weather or not your material was used by Jose Escamilla in his latest movie "Interstellar".

Should you feel inclined to divulge more information please feel free to contact me at this address.

Best wishes
"Stale Cracker"

It's a shame he decided to terminate comms without answering my question about his media and Jose Escamilla... His post was recorded as hitting my inbox at 11:52AM today. My email question regarding Escamilla possibly using footage supplied by him was sent at 9:45AM today. I find it unlikely he didn't read that email before sending me his "warning" email and terminating comms.

Well that was fun. Time to jump back in the Mystery Machine I guess...

Peace out.

ADDENDUM

I received another email from John like I stated at the beginning of this post, here is:
please warn your firends they are still email me please stop its not safe

ATTENTION:

I have to warn you my friend. Your identity and location is in highly risk

some are still email me from ATS

they will expose them selves for any hacking crimes they have try to do

i do not want any person to get in trouble for trying to find me or you.

peace

the people watch us are very serious

Well there you have it. He seems pretty freaked-out by all of this.

I'm still open to the possibility of some of these starship pics being true unknowns, but without follow-up observations I'll stay around 90% probability ISS/Satellite, and 10% probability unknowns.

Comments?

I don't like quoting a bunch of random posts but I'm going to address some of the issues brought up.

These images are not hoaxes. This is simply bad astronomy. People need to understand that with the setup he described these low earth orbit bodies would look exactly like that. They're constantly moving and (I'm guessing this guy is using an Meade 8" LXD75) the tracker has a difficult time keeping up correctly. They'd look fuzzy and distorted (as if being stretched) when you glance at it.

It's interesting that he'd run off and terminate communications, but, that's his right. It seems as if he's getting freaked out over nothing. Learning another person's I.P address is really harmless. If he's afraid of such things then he probably isn't all that adept with technology. You have a limitless ability to defend yourself from "hackers".

Another thing I find interesting is that the coordinates that are given earlier are simply aligning stars. Here's how things work when you turn on a GPS/Tracker telescope:

You have to set it physically pointing north. You turn it on and with the controller you press "speed". You pick whatever you want and then your telescope starts aligning to large stars like Arcturus. Then it's your job to make sure it's all working well (you can see where it's supposed to be pointing) and then you get the next one, and the next one, and another. Then you can pick any body in the sky with your controller to check if the calibration was correct. People usually pick the moon.

All this time I've been using the same system (sometimes you can't and are given different coordinates because of the star maps shift) and I've never seen a single one of those objects on those points. It's misleading.

I'm really more interested in the retro-active forum scrubbing now!!! Forget the satellites!
