Sorry if this goes somewhere else. I couldn't figure out where to put it.

I have a couple questions, hopefully somebody here knows the answers to them..

Does anybody know the educational requirements to become basically somebody who thinks up projects for DARPA?

And does anybody know where exactly you get degrees (specific universities or other schools) to become a military expert or political expert of some specific country (i.e. Russia, China) or region in order to be eligible to join the CIA?

If anybody can answer these for me, that would be a great help. Thanks!

It's not so much "what school?" as "How well did you do?" and / or "How good was your school?".

If you want to work for DARPA, I'd bet that a solid engineering or science background from a top-tier school would be your best bet. A management degree might carry some weight.

To be a political expert for the CIA, I'd suggest a degree in political science, history, or both. Language studies wouldn't hurt your chances here, either. Everybody is short on translators, so if you can translate (or read source data in the original language without need of translation) you have an extra gold star.

In either case, a Master's would be better by far than a Bachelor's
