An excellent article in the Scotsman wonders about this "war on terrorism". The question is, if the war is being won, then how can the mere rumor of agents of doom perhaps being on or near an international flight, cause the grounding of these flights? The article coins the phrase "Terrorism Lite", which is the act of not using any actual bombs, just sufficient hints of threats.

It's almost as if the author of the story was reading ATS. www.news.scotsman.com... Bush tactics fan flames of terrorism JIM SILLARS "The terrorists now seem to run two strategies: maintaining the practice of blowing up innocents in place of our leaders who, unlike the rest of us, are well protected; or a new one - terrorism lite, with no actual bombs, just sufficient hints that they might do in an aircraft, or a city, to cause universal fear and paralysis. "Never before have we faced a combination of real killings, threats of real killings and rumours of planned killings. There is now a need for Bush and Blair to find answers to the terrorist threat that hasnt gone away despite the blitzing of Afghanistan and the defeat of Saddam." i find it horribly biased that this article would be titled bush fans the flames of terrorism. this is unnessescary and highly unprofessional. there is no proof whatsoever to support this claim, and i personally think bush/his cabinet are doing what they can to prevent any (however unlikely) attacks.

I like the part...

"The terrorists now seem to run two strategies: maintaining the practice of blowing up innocents in place of our leaders who, unlike the rest of us, are well protected; or a new one - terrorism lite, with no actual bombs, just sufficient hints that they might do in an aircraft, or a city, to cause universal fear and paralysis."

"Never before have we faced a combination of real killings, threats of real killings and rumours of planned killings. There is now a need for Bush and Blair to find answers to the terrorist threat that hasnt gone away despite the blitzing of Afghanistan and the defeat of Saddam."

Yet all the majority of people can do to help, is run around pointing fingers and playing the blame-game. They tie the hands of the government with rules and fair-play while the terrorists do as they please. Is it any wonder that the Government is having a tough time?

People say it needs to stop now, yet do not support any method to do so. Hmmmm...how about we just ask "are you a terrorist" and if they say no, let them go. They would be honest right?

That would be why it was written in the opinion section. It may be editorial and biased, but it is an excellent article, and summarises just how ludicrously out of hand this "war on terror" hoax has become.

We see news of the "terrorist threat" every day but nothing ever comes of it, or atleast no more than before 9/11. It's laughable how seriously terrorism lite is taken by the mainstream media.

A great article SkepticOverlord
