I would be proud to tell my grandkids I served my country as a soldier, then i got paid to travel the world and kill people who raped children, who blew up children, who cut the heads off of truck drivers, who stoned little girls for dating the wrong boys, for killing women for showing skin, etc...

and funny agit8d...your mad i get paid to help innocent people prosper and you do NOTHING...not even for your OWN country..haha

again, like most...can talk talk talk but NEVER lift a finger....and actually think your opinion still matters when you actually don't know s***! And if you think reading articles, watching videos, and watching the news = knowledge...then I can totally understand the garbage you type

I don't think you are a mercenary or security guard of whatever they call the blackwater this days.

before the blackwater was contracted by the US government to work as security guards in Iraq they wanted ex military men specially marines.

I have to just sit here and read about your post, because it seems that you are clueless.

The amount of money that you are talking about doesn't compare to the amount that was offered to Marines with experience.

They even went to Bases around looking fo retired marines to fill their leadership positions to train.

BTW my husband is a retired marine and he works for the department of defense.

shadow_soldier1975 : I absolutely will tell you that everyone doesn't
sell out to the highest bidder. Must be the company you keep.

If something doesn't set right with my conscience, I tend not to do it, even
if the money is good. I've had the chance to work at other facilities for
higher wages and turned them down because of perceived bureaucratic
politics. ( I like my peace of mind !)

Also, there's a big difference between being ordered into harm's way and
voluntarily going there for the money. I have a lot of respect for the
soldiers who fight for their country, and little respect for those that fight
for the almighty dollar.

Spoken like a true WIFE...live through the husband....and DOD..ok and I'm suppossed to what...bow down to the fact that he???????..let me guess his job is TOP SECRET and can't be talked about.. Any high school kid writing a paper can find out current salary structure for us, and tell you your full of S*** as for the higher salaries for "marines". And NO they did not just go for Marines...thats spoken just like any of Uncle Sams Misguided Children...I have Marine friends who don't put themseleves above other serviceman because THEY understand its a brotherhood no matter the branch...guess either your just a whackjob or Hubby was a pack clerk and believes only the marines are worthy of wearing a uniform, which im guessing HE never saw a day of combat...anyway...I got my pay, I have no bills, and plan on signing another contract...so your words will not make me lose sleep, or money..lol.

And Security Guards???..it was protective services for escorts...but you keep thinking your way...its much better..

well good for you SIEGE but I have done both...and you said it for me...stay in making under $20g a year being ordered into harms way by guys who are 1000 miles away or 50 miles away in a command post and play politics with my life...or make $180+g a year and have better equipment, better leadership, and the only politics is the dollar....like it or not....i think you all need to be more pissed at the government NOT paying our servicemen better and providing them better conditions than be mad that I made a wise choice

well thank god your opinion of me is meaningless....if your going to open your mouth about my current profession...and THINK you know it better than me you better be able to take what I have to say. I won't open my mouth and try to tell a doctor I know all about malpractice and medical mistakes etc...WHY because I DON'T REALLY KNOW what is all involved or actually happens....so I don't ACT like I do...

If Super Soldier's attitude/mindstate are any indication of mentality of the other Blackwater mercinaries, I am truly afraid for the future.

He considers us jealous, because of all the money he is making, when in fact, he is essentially our 'employee' by proxy, since our tax dollars are paying his inflated salary.

He is going to tell his grandkids that he got paid a lot of money to travel the world to kill people who rape children, but I wonder if he is going to tell them about how his 'coworkers' would have fun by taking potshots at random Iraqi citizens while riding around in the beds of pick ups and Humvees?

He is highly weapon trained, has already traded honor for the dollar, and currently is troll-ing the web looking to pick fights on websites such as ATS (whose motto is "Deny Ignorance") with anyone who doesn't bleed Blackwater (aka OIL). Not a guy I want walking the streets after his 'tour of duties' are done, hopped up on perscription meds because of the mental strain on being in a place where he cannot just kill anyone he chooses.

Honestly, it is my hope that this person never gets the chance to have grandkids. Either catching hot lead in a country he does not belong, or from being exposed to some 'vaccine' that has been tested on him, rendering his genetic line flawed....

"I support my troops", pledge allegance to the flag, all the patriotic liberties that those who came before me fought for in the past, but in no way do I support madmen mercenaries who are only on the ground in Iraq because The Bush/Cheney administration wanted Saddam's Oil.

It is not a coincidence that SuperSoldier's boss is named "Blackwater"... not when they are there to protect the wells and black liquid...

and let me guess your KNOWLEDGE of my coworkers taking potshots at citizens comes from????? wait let me guess..youtube..or no wait...some .org anti-war/bush website..lol. cmon man. I could take a video of anyone shooting and say its whomever I want. Do bad things happen, of course...but were they blackhawk employees, or were they soldiers/mercs from other countries? Do you know? I'm guessing NOT!

And traded honor for the dollar...your not a veteran are you? yeah didn't think so! And trolling the web looking for a fight...you sir are an idiot...

did I start the post? NO
did I degrade anyone before being told I should be killed, that I'm not a real american, and that most of you hope I die? NO
did I ONLY post on this thread telling people what they should think? NO

the only people doing all that are you guys...again, wish what you want on me...it just proves who you are, and what your not!

It blows my mind how you can judge me, wish death upon me, decide that I am not a REAL american even though I served my country, talk about honor and talk about things...yet how many of you are veterans? how many of you sacrificed for your country? how many of you are leaving home to help those who need it?

SuperSoldier,

You are right, we should not wish death on you specifically. You provided 'us', or should I say 'U.S.', the opportunity to vent thoughts/feelings about a corporation, and its employees to an actual "mercenary" who has been employed by said corporation. So 'death' to the industry you work for, and prison sentences for anyone involved from Cheney on down... Oh wait, Blackwater is not culpable for war crimes you say?

My question for you then, will you follow your 'orders' when Blackwater (or to quote 'troll' disinformation, Blackhawk) is hired to bring the fight stateside and 'suppress' U.S. Citizens who oppose Chinese troops here to defend their port interests, or those who oppose a Trans Continental Highway from Mexico to Canada and destroy the sovereignty of the United States...

Oh wait, you already answered that question. Of course you would, if the money is right.
Hope they are not your grandkids...

well thanks so much for all the information.
A quick calculation says you made about $16,000 a month
and you say military makes $16,000 a year
good for you and maybe my son would consider this.

don't you love american war machines and the money they have

UK,
I already apologized the only way my conscience will allow. It is wrong to 'wish death'
I apologized for that...

I will not apologize for taking someone to task for trolling and for being a overpaid assassin...
Sorry, can't do it.

Doc...what part of this don't you understand? I didn't start the thread, I didn't degrade, then when I am degraded, told to die by like 5 people and judged then respond to that now I am trolling...you do realize that just makes you ignorant..and WRONG!

And overpaid assassin...hmmm..again, stupid phrase, since we do the same job as I did when enlisted (and that our soldiers do now), that means your calling ALL soldiers assassins. The only difference is pay..which your obviously unhappy with! So good for you calling them people who gave you and continue to give you your freedom names.

And its obvious your clouded by your bush hatred...if you want to hate bush and the fact that we are at war that is fine and I am all for you not liking it....what I don't understand is how you can let that hate overshadow the real truth about soldiers and yes even mercs. The innocent lives that are saved due to the job we have is NEVER shared, and the people who hug us and invite us in for dinner is NEVER shown!!! I was there, you were not, so again your opinion is really mute....

and when I get my next contract for Darfur in Africa come along..this way you can see firsthand what the REAL world is like and the things that are done...so you can stop with opinions & emotions and start with facts!

Its a rough world out there, and one other thing Doc...no idea what that babble was about china, and highways, blah blah blah...but it made no sence. Bottom line if my freedom and our country is attacked, or in danger then I will do what is needed, against WHOMEVER is behind it!

Super,
Like I said before, I am sorry for calling for your head.

Here is what I understand...

United States service members can be tried for War Crimes,
private armed contractors can not.

The current Administration lied to anyone and everyone in order to get into Iraq to get the Iraqi oil.

Member/family members of the current administration are making money off the conflicts in the middle east via their connections to Big Oil/The Military Industrial Complex.

That if there were no Mercenary Armies like Blackwater paying you 30,000 a month, they could have 25 U.S. Military soldiers for every mercenary. (30,000/1,200=25)

The term "Al Qaida" is a construct of the US created in order to bring racketeering charges against Usama/Osama.

I have plenty more if you want, but like I said before I am sorry for personally attacking you, and I fear for the future, your grandkids and mine.
I am done fighting with you about this... I feel my points have been proven.
I am willing to offer you more of "what I know" but I doubt you are willing to listen..

Most of all I fear the abuse of Civil Rights and the right to Privacy that has happened to United States citizens since September 11 because of the hunt for "terrorists" and the "war on terror". You didn't answer me if you would take money to kill American citizens when they stand up and demand their sovereignty.

Also, I don't know how I am being called an idiot, when all I am doing is dealing in fact and dening ignorance...

This is a thread I did on Blackwater a while back, the so call mercenaries for hire are the type of fighting force that do not have to be under scrutiny of the government and can be used to do all the governments dirty work under the umbrella of just being a security guard services.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

The extent of these firms' combat role is largely off policymakers' radar screen. Not only is Congress woefully ignorant of the contracts that its budgets have paid for, but senior Pentagon officials are, at best, in self-denial about the depth of the outsourcing. When pressed on the issue at a news briefing just days after the Fallujah deaths, Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld's response was a prototypical nonsensical Rummyism.

face it Bush and his croonies have it all wrapped up from tit to teet
and the ability to use the blackwater group to do things that are improper has been varified.
Not that all blackwater contract employees have done bad things

Here is the problem that lies with all of this, and that is if you interviewed 10 Joe Schmoe's outside of Wal-Mart USA, at least half, probably more would have no idea that Blackwater exists. I didn't know Blackwater existed, not until recently.

These mercenaries have been paid extremely well for a job that many people are unwilling to do. That tells you something there, that in order to round up these mercenaries, you have to pay them at least 10 times what you pay someone who signed over their personal rights to serve their country. How does that build moral among the ranks of Stars and Stripes bleeding enlisted Military service members? I can't see how budget leeching paramilitary with no accountablity do anything to instill confidence in the Iraqi people.

Bush and the rest of his War Profiteering cronies definitely have a stranglehold in many ways, and may or may not use Blackwater and other Corporate Armies to do evil deeds, but in my opinion all Blackwater employees are doing "bad things" by signing contracts to work demeaning every soldier who does serve for honor, by allowing themselves to be the opening pawn in the chess game of Future American liberty. Instead of standing up and demanding that enlisted service members wages be raised and their equipment upgraded, Blackwater type outfits leech the Defense budget and prevent the full Support for the Troops that Congress has approved...

Perhaps, I am wrong, but thats how I see it. What is to prevent AOL from subcontracting Blackwater to do hostile takeovers of their rivals in other countries? Because in my mind I see what has happened in the Middle East over oil and the forced introduction of capitalism/idolatry has more to do with the merger of BP and Standard Oil than it has to do with spreading freedom.

my 3 cents,
Doc Moreau

Iraq was, after the disposal of Saddam, to have been a showcase for not just democracy but corporate capitalism. The Iraq War lent itself to a showcase of how privatization could win wars. Privatization (aka "big business" aka corporate welfare if it feeds off public taxdollars) is a Republican Party standard.

Remember the First Battle of Fallujah?
Blackwater contractors went around a Marine checkpoint (looking for a route for another company, KBR) into an ambush, with the end result being the burned torsos seen on worldwide tv. Those bodies dragged through the city were not soldiers but BW employees, something Americans at the time probably were not aware of.
There went Marine General Mattis's (the warrior monk) plan to defeat the insurgents, a plan which would be most effective but take up to a month. He was ordered by leaders in Washington to retaliate quickly and with power. That decision played into the hands of the insurgents.

That decision cost 27 American soldiers their life.
