***"Formal" adoption of UF's banner??***

Hi team!!

Just a thought: as you'll know from previous debates in this conference, Universal Fiction very kindly - and skillfully! - prodiced a ATS SETI@home banner for us to use to actively promote the team.

Some of us are already using it and it occurred to me if perhaps others might like to use it too?? That way, whichever discussion we are responding to we are at least signalling *our* commitment.

Any thoughts please?

I would like to, but I also like my current signature. I really can’t decide what to do.

Right, well I'll try and talk you through setting up the signature thing as I had difficulties too. I'll be back later whilst I re-research this!!

Nothing heard yet about points or status although I *did* email SkepticOverloard and received a reply from nyreff that he had passed our request on to colleagues, so expect we'll get to hear one way or another. Anticpate the best, prepare for the worst is my doctrine at this stage baked!!

I'll try and work out a "dummy's guide" (no offence!!) to signatures etc in due course (unless someone else can do this please??)

Baked, clicking on your signature sends opens on the ATS SETI@home team stats page, which is brilliant!

Looking at the URL however, is there a "gap" between [img] and etc...

If so, edit to remove the gap - that *might* do it?

I've just tried doing that but now can't link to your image - geting a red cross "place holder" instead. Will continue to experiment (sorry for multiple posts people )

Cheers Milk!! Thanx for that! Baked - does that solve your problem - do a "quote" reply and the code etc will be revealed which you can copy/ paste into your signature...

I think that your sig has the incorrect addy for the picture.


use this instead between the img tags:

www.abovetopsecret.com...

ok....the pic addy is right....
My link is right....
There are no spaces (i don't think anyway)

I thought the same thing.....it's the name I got from the upload

the addy in your sig is wrong... you have:

www.abovetopsecret.com...


it needs to be:

www.abovetopsecret.com...


There is also a space between the g and the ] on the end of your img tag, and that would be why the pic isnt coming up...

I've tried both, and both work....
The G space appears on this page but when O go in to edit, there is no space.

Guess Ill keep on trying...

Thanx very much for helping baked get the signature sorted Milk - it is a struggle I know!! Mind you, well worth the effort involved I reckon!!

Milked, perhaps *you* could prepare a "dummy's guide" as to how this is achieved please, as I'm sure others would benefit too and it would be a useful resource for anyone to add both images to signatures, as well as linking to URL's too if required??
