Do i wish this on the Iraqi people? no... But make no mistake what is happening over there is because of the insurgents/terrorists.

Whilst believing this may give you some comfort and succour in your beliefs Muaddib, the question remains as to who opened Pandora's box in the first place.

There was no insurgency before the invasion, was there?

from the USAToday article referenced by UM_Gazz
The Bush administration says it will allow up to 7,000 Iraqis to settle permanently in the U.S. — up from 202 in 2006 — by the end of September and will pay more to help Iraq's neighbors cope with the surge of refugees.

Wow! That's an increase of over, what? 3500%?

In one year!

Who says the Bush administration doesn't care about the innocent civilians displaced by their grab for Iraqi oil, oops, I mean their "War on Terrorism?"

/sarcasm

Let's see, 7,000 out 4,200,000 is, what? 0.16%?

What a despicable bunch of self-serving liars!

It's way past time to:

/ the Bush-it!

Here's some more food for thought:

The latest figures for the Iraqi War as of Sept.12th

A map of the internally displaced Iraqis compiled by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees

The countries reporting the highest number of Iraqi refugees are Denmark (12,000), Norway (15,000), Sweden (60-70,000), and Germany (150,000) . However, these numbers are not directly comparable as some take into account only recognised refugees (Sweden), while others include estimates of Iraqis with and without a legal status, eg Germany.

Source

And that was prior to 2004!

About 9,000 Iraqis made it to Sweden in 2006 - almost half of the 22,000 who sought asylum in the entire industrialized world. This year, when the United States has promised to take in 7,000 Iraqis, around 20,000 are expected to seek asylum in Sweden.

Source

So in 2006, the Bush administration allowed 600 Iraqi refugees to resettle in the United States while in the same year Sweden invited 9000 to find refuge.

As I said before: despicable! !

Is it any wonder Bush bought a retirement ranch in Paraguay?

Isn't that where war criminals go to hide from justice?
