This sounds sincere and honest to me unlike what I’ve been reading here on ATS.

YEs, he has some explaining to do.

I'm pretty sure somebody already tried to exploit this information on another ATS thread...can't remember where, and I'm scetchy on the details. I simply recall that the situation was explained to my satisfaction. Perhaps a moderator can locate the link.

Exploit? Interesting choice of words.

Give John Lear the space to cover himself. He is posting very non anonymously and has his credit and reputation on the line. We live in a society where what people think of you >does matter.

Shouting from the mountain tops about your beliefs doesn't prove or disprove anything. Proof proves things, and I've seen mine.

I wouldn't let his denunciation of the UFO/alien thing be of any worth to you. He's just a man with stories.

Gain enough knowledge to be your own leader, not a follower guided by hope.

Implication: insincere and dishonest? Ditto!

So in other words now he believes nothing he says here could possibly piss anybody off enough to harm him or his family?

At least there was an explanation provided, however, raises some interesting dilemmas about this line of work/investigation.

It is easy to see how people become paranoid about certain things.

I honestly think John Lear is working for the government, I mean come on he discredits people who died exposing certain elements of truth?!

Man I'd post anything if I thought my family was at risk because of stuff I had posted on forums. It doesn't matter how much of a tough guy you think you might be, people will find ways to make you scared. Intimidation is ancient, it won't go away no matter how politically correct you are. I see in Johns signature states the word opinion. MIB would change my opinion until my family was safe. Read what John writes as somebody the same as you expressing an OPINION.
Nobody has said John has all the answers. He could even be the antichrist. You know those things the ancients had called books? They used to use them to reference stuff and surprisingly sometimes for leisure. We'll you're doing the modern day equivalent of reading a book but you can participate. Please respect the other readers. Post a disagreement to the info or commentary in a polite manor and you may be surprised at the answer. Maybe read more untill you get Johns dry sense of humour.

Really sad if you ask me.

In the entire history of Ufology and alien research there is not one piece of credible proof , why does anybody need to be silenced.

Now i was warned for making the post on the page underneath this text. And it was a fair warning as i broke some of the forum rules.

But my reply was made due the fact i was disgusted with Mr Lear's post. Now all i can say is should a so called mentally adept human talk such nonsense ? Furthermore i ask you should or would Mr Lear in this case be making such whimsy laxadaisy post's ? It totally dis-credits anything he says in my personal opinion.

That's an excellent point.

There is no concrete evidence or smoking gun in the UFO research and truth-seeker community. Some might claim that IS due in part to the governments excellent disinfo and intimidation campaign that squashes anything credible that seems to point to UFO's and alien life but even still....there's just nothing.

I DO believe that people have been silenced and intimidated into seclusion by certain elements of the government (whether it be UFO related or otherwise, it's been done), but thats the nature of the game. There will always be governments with big secrets and the little people that find out about them.

As long as people keep paying attention to him and as long as whatever $$ there is out there keeps rolling in John will be there to tell people what they want to hear.

Just curious.

With so many far out idea's call it disinformation, how are we ment to ever know the truth?

Its like religion someones got it wrong, they cant be all right.

So many times you hear a story from someone, and there is usually a book to go with it, the truth should be free.

But to johns credit he doesn't promote a book or any money making scheme regarding UFO's.

My opinion of John, hes a nice enough guy, but i feel he is misinformed.
Ironically this site is about denying ignorance, so the choice is yours whether to believe him or not.
