The most ridiculous statement I've ever heard. "if we make central and south america more prosperous" What.. It is not absolutely not the responsibility of the US to make another country "more prosperous". It's the responsibility of that conutry. What are you saying the US should subsidize every country in the world. The causes of this invasion is these countrys could care less about them,so they encourage them to invade the US,where the stupid liberals welcome them as saints.

Rdang, this is precisely why I have gotten to the point to where I refuse to discuss this issue with many of the posters here. There is a large percentage of posters here, who do seem to think that America is somehow obligated to fork over a bunch of money to foreign powers.

What they don't realize, is that the foreign powers that they are wanting to fork all of this money over to are corrupt and the populace of those countries will never see any benefit to anything we do for them. We will still have the same problem that we currently have.

Liberals have some, in a perfect world, outstanding ideas, but they don't seem to consider the consequences of those ideas in the not so perfect real world that we live in.

This is a consequence to being the most prosperous nation in the world. Everyone wants to live here. Could you imagine the horror if the US was landlocked?! Stop bickering! Jesus Christ, this is exactly what they want. To keep us all divided, so that if/when the day comes we cannot stand as one.

Higher crime levels as a result of illegal immigration is absurd. You guys act like illegals are the scourge of society. America leads the world in rate of incarceration (25% percent of the world's prison population). 2.1 million were imprisioned in the United States in 2005.

Also in 2005, Minnesota ranked 2nd lowest in ratio of imprisioned and civilian population. Minnesota has also seen a huge boom to it's Hispanic population (about 200,000 in 2005, compared to just 53,000 in 1990). In 2003, Ladie's Home Journal ranked Minneapolis 7th out of 200 cities that were best for women to live in (so much for your rape and pillage mentality).

In 2002, 10.4% of black males ages 25-29 were sentenced and in prison by year's end, compared to 2.4% of Hispanics and 1.2% of whites. All this with a higher Hispanic population than blacks! Some of us know that police officers often racially profile minorities, so it should come as no surprise that minorites fill prisons faster than whites.

As for the whole MECHA thing... I look at it like this... there are extremes to any political group. I think this can be agreed upon. Don't let a group of extremists ruin the image of people who come to this country to have a better life for their family. This reclaiming the SW United States conspiracy has been floating around forever, so it doesn't necessarily make it so.

As for the ones who said Americans would gladly do the jobs some illegals do... that could very well be true. You might surround yourselves with different people than I do, but I can, with great assurance, tell you that the friends I have would scoff at the idea of working with landscape, construction or cleaning some god-awful hotel room with god-knows-what on the sheets. I know these pepople... these people have openly admitted to being spoiled and have said they would never do maunal labor, so I speak from my experiences and environment. Unfortunately, this is the same for many of the young people I have ran into... it's an epidemic and it's called spoiled brat syndrome. Old fashioned values such as earn your dollar are replaced with playing video games all day and your parents will take care of the rest, but that's another story.

Thing is, big business is to blame, not the illegals. Can you really blame them? If some business is hiring these people and paying them much more than what they would in earn in their country, why would they not take it? Big business knows what it is doing. It knows that in the long run hiring illegals and outsourcing jobs will decline wages. They don't care. Your gripe should be with them and not people taking advantage of an opportunity put infront of them. It's not their fault thier countries are in dire states, people have no choice to where they're born.

Agree or disagree, it does not, nor will it ever, change my views. All this rhetoric being spilled here is boderline racist and stinks of selfeshness, and that just solidifies the stereotype of Americans worldwide. If the NAU is coming, so be it. Pasting articles and spewing hate on this website is not going to get it done, pal. If you really want to make a change wirte your political officials or form a peaceful demonstration. To me, your just adding fuel to a fire that has us all cut off from different directions.

Yeah, that always works.
I'll be honest, I don't know what world you are living in, but you are only fooling yourself if you really believe that the politicians on either side of the aisle are looking out for the welfare of this nation. They're not.

The biggest majority of today's politicians don't take a stand on anything. They are trying to win a freaking popularity contest instead of looking out for the welfare of this nation. So, don't feed me that line that all I have to do is "write my representative." Hell, like most of the bills that they pass up there at capitol hill, they probably wouldn't even bother reading it.

I never said politicians are looking out for the welfare of our nation... I'm not saying they're not either, I don't know them. So what is it that you think will make a difference? What would you do to make changes? It seems as if you've just given up. Writing your representative is better than nothing. In fact, posting your gripes with this country on this site will do nothing to help ease your concerns about the country's future. Unless you're just venting... if THAT'S the case well by all means enjoy the ride.

Finally, a major newspaper is admitting that Mexico is in the midst of a Civil War. You don’t have to go to Iraq for beheadings, Mexico is closer.
Mexico is #2 in the world for beheadings,Iraq is #1. A number of severed heads have surfaced in Acapulco this year, most notably those of two policemen that were found with a note reading: "So that you learn to respect." And with unchecked illegal immigration,a third world invasion here in the US,this is what will soon be happening in our cities. The Mexican army makes regular forays into the US,escorting their drug running friends. The Mexican government gives maps away to make it easy for their unwanted citizens to invade the US.They teach in their school, that the gringos "stole their" land. The USA is in dire straights, our traitorous, greedy, souless politicians are selling you out. link
