Look at this

Halliburton charged with selling nuclear technology to Iran
Halliburton, the notorious U.S. energy company, sold key nuclear-reactor components to a private Iranian oil company called Oriental Oil Kish as recently as 2005, using offshore subsidiaries to circumvent U.S. sanctions. The story is particularly juicy because Vice President Dick Cheney, who now claims to want to stop Iran from getting nukes, was president of Halliburton in the mid-1990s, at which time he may have advocated business dealings with Iran, in violation of U.S. law.

You got to love it.

Its clown-like, sad. Pathetic. Hypocratic and downright treason.

Too bad nobody wants to beleive these stories. :shk:

Supposing its true, what a bunch of fools we are! And its all our fault, really.

The high values and morality like anti-abortion, and the lets kill 'em all Armageddon stuff....psychotic maybe? Illusions?
One hand does one thing and the other another- sick sick sick.

And yet so many refuse to beleive this stuff. I think we deserve it, everything that's coming for our stupidity.

What do you think the Iran contra deal was about ?

Iran had a fleet of F-4 Phantoms, F-14 Tomcats etc which needed spare parts so whilst US citizens were being held hostage in Tehran, the CIA was flying coc aine to US soil via US air force bases to finance other flights to fly fighter spares from turkey to Iran on civil freight aircraft. We know this because one such flight crashed in bad weather over Turkey.

Your enemies you can count on... It's your own people you have to watch.

So that explains why the statement by the US deparment of Defenc(s)e that Iran is only 'so far' from obtaining it's first nuclear weapon is deemed so accurate...they were sold the technology and the know-how by a US corporation in the first place. My guess is that the sales reciepts are kept in the same desk-drawer as those for sales of chemical WMD components and pre-cursor materials that Saddam took delivery of...is there a photo in existence of Cheney shaking on the deal with Ahdmedinajad as with Rumsfeld and Hussein????

Well it is not usual for me to step up and defend the CIA, but I suppose we should consider the possibility that supplying nuclear technolgy through front companies might be a part of a covert operation to learn about Iran's progress, in which case congratulations because the leaker may have helped warn Iran.

Not even a real video! The first part may be when the question is asked, but watch when it switches to the guy who is answering. Also look closely at the microphone he is speaking in to. When it appears over anywhere on his face, the very outside edge of the micrphone is distorted.

Haliburton was working on some oil rig contracts and was given special permission to finish off the contracts since they were already existing before the sanctions were in place. I really didn't think they were in the business of Nuke technology. Is it possibly a fraudulent charge or even video?

So wouldn't we be right to say that the weapons of mass destruction are being brought to iraq

Well if they aren't now, you can pretty much say they will be in the sometime near future with all the new bases we are building there and in Afghanistan. Dont we also have some sort of system in Turkey as well?

WMD being brought to Iraq ???

spiritpOwer, where did you get that one from ?

there is absolutely no evidence of WMD ever being found in Iraq.

The whole issue about haliburton in this thread is that Iran is building (or has built) a uranium enrichment plant at Netanz to create Bomb grade Uranium and then intends to develop nuclear reactors to obtain plutonium.

There is no suggestion here that Haliburton was doing anything more than supply components to Iran.

It is not proved that Haliburton has done anything of the sort yet, but if it has it may have been a covert op to gain insight into what Iran is doing.

In WW2 the British penetrated Nazi Germany's nuclear establishment to glean information so that the Nazi plants could be bombed. The British project was called project Epsilon.
