To all responding to this thread,
Before I start, ... like many here I was a die-hard "unbeliever" until serving in the Israeli miltary. In 1983 I was privileged [or unfortunate]
enough to be in the room taking notes as our equivalent of the national security council met to discuss recent incidents involving our
fighters..other 'friendlies' and 'God's air-force"..[!] our euphemism for UFO's. That was, indeed, the day my life changed forever, and it was
the turn-ariound point for me. I saw general's ffaces go white when confronted with some of the evidence put before them in that [and subsequent]
meetings..and I will tell you that we had liasons there from the NSA among others as we tried to get a comprehensive picture of things being observed
and reported by some of our most reliable, experienced and combat-hardened pilots ..our radar technicians, communications specialists....we even had a
scholar there specialized in the mystic 'kabala'..the same thing madonna is now into..and , unusual in the xtreme for such a meeting, we had a
cluster of scholars from the Teknion and Ben-Gurion universities specialized in physics, ethereal math, archaeology and artifacts..strange for a
meeting about things zipping by our F-111's at several times the speed of sound [without breaking the sound barrier!] and coming to dead stops over
the Dead Sea...before hurtling off as before or into the deep blue of space.
One other thing I'd like to mention before launching into this.. and that is the Star of David symbol as seen on the Israeli national flag.
I know there are many stories about its meaning, origins, mystic or magic powers..yada yada..and they all have their attractions.
However, in the minds of the chief rabbis the symbol's revelatory meaning is quite simple: 'As above, so below"...an implicit reminder that what we
do on earth is reflected in the heavens..and vice-versa.. And please., please, understand this, too...we [jews] do not believe in 'heaven' as a
reward in the 'after-life' for good deeds done on earth. That has neever been our understanding of 'heaven'..and 'angels'are not long departed
souls from this mortal coil who have found favor in the eyes of a celestial gate-keeper.
They. to us, are an entirely 'alien' race with powers of their own, and a unique relationship to a very 'real' central authority...one that is at
war with others for our bit of turf..this blue planet.
That is the simple, unvarnished truth of the matter...which I leave it to you to believe or disbelieve according to your own lights.
Now then, to the disbleievers...yes, I quite agree..an awful lot of what we read in the Bible IS to be taken metaphorically..the rabbis know that and
so do most serious Christian scholars.
Having said that, the most frequently cited Bible verses pro-and con are normally taken from woefully inadequate interpretations and
translations..such as the King James or Revised Standard...and to be fair much of what the ancient translators were decoding made no sense to them
whatsoever..and so they did their best without a comprehension of what was really in front of them.
For instance...when one reads about The Lord of hosts..or hosts of angels in these translations, what is really being discussed? What is a 'host'
exactly?
It is an old English term for a military force..but the translators were at a loss as to how to explain God as peace-loving and all good when He
clearly was a military leader.
Evidence for that abounds in both Old and new testaments but perhaps the best example of the 'truth'hiding in palin sight can be found in Joshua
5:14 when a stranger bearing a sword reveals himself to Joshua to be "a commander of God's army".
Strange, don't you think that Joshua, now the leader of God's one and only "chosen people" is given a lesson in tactics and strategy from a
commander of "God's army."
Oh, yes..and a word about the use of 'strangers' to describe the angels who visit Abraham, Lot, Joshua and others. To be a stranger in those times
was to be from some place so far away as it might as well be from a different planet.
Understand we are talking about nomadic tribes who graze and trade with other socieities spread across a huge range of the planet...we are talking
spices and silks from lands as far away as india, and the steppes of Russia..some scholars now admit there was trade with S.America and China..but
that is beyond the point. Go look at all the names for tribes and peoples found in genesis and Exodus..Amorites, Hittites, egyptians, jebusite,
perrizites...we read of dozens of local and non-local tribes and clans..and nationalities..distinctive by the way they appear and dress..dozens and
then some. So to read of 'strangers' commanding such respect or terror that at the very first sight of them one is prone to fall on one's knees
and give obeisance is very remarkable, indeed. If a synonym for 'stranger is 'alien', then stranger should be spelled with a capitol 'S'.
But let's start at the beginning..in Genesis....the 'proof that we are dealing with an other than omnipotent being masquerading as 'God'is to be
found eveywhere in the first chapters of Genesis if only one applies a bit of rabbinical analysis to the text. By that i mean, going through the text,
verse by verse, word by word and asking why things are said a certain way ..
Example; After eating from the fruit of knowledge Adam and Eve realize they are naked and go into hiding...God goes looking for them, and when he asks
why they hid in the bushes Adam replies "because we were naked and ashamed".. 'Who told you you were naked? ". God wants to know.
What does that tell us? [and why cite it as evidence for UFO's?]
Well three things actually, if you just take the minute to ask the critical questions.
First, It tells us that God is not all-seeing and all knowing , since he cannot initially find Adam and Eve..but more importantly it tells us that:
- God is not naked either..in fact that he must be wearing garments of some kind and has been observed slipping in and out of them.
And what kind of omnipotent being needs to wear clothes..to what purpose..to keep from getting cold, wet, sunburned, bitten by insects?
Doesn't that tell us that God is not at one with his enviornment, unlike every other living thing on planet earth.
Or perhaps it is a uniform of some kind upon which he can display his rank..but to whom? Surely not to impress Adam and Eve...
But about this being naked, thing...ask the critical questions....
[Think! ] How would Adam and Eve get a concept of nudity vs. non-nudity unless there was someone in their immediate area whom they observed to be
wearing clothes?
Animals do not wear fig leaves and have no concept of nudity. So if Adam and Eve got the notion that they needed clothes or covering, they can only
have gotten it from someone observed getting dressed and undressed. Get it?
Lastly, and by far more germaine to this discussion is God's third question [the first two being where are you..and why are you hiding]
"Who told you that you were naked? "
Well now...if that isn't the dead give-away question of the ages I don't know what is.
Note He asks 'Who told you...?"and not 'How did you get that idea?,or even What makes you think you are naked? No, No..God asks 'Who"and that
implies a 'third party'.
God is wondering 'who else' has been communing with his gardener..which one of his cohorts or enemies has tampered with his experiment..and that
implies more than one 'god'running around on planet earth..and that God knows [as Adam and Eve do] that he is not alone...there is an 'other'a
"who'
In Genesis god also despairs of his angels coming down to mate with human females [genesis 6] and admits being powerless to stop the contamination of
the gene pool.
The rabbis [and secret societies] have long known that the Bible, for all its flaws, is still the closest we have to a coherent chronicle of our
species and its relationship to off-planet powers.
Now, I'm sure we can debate the Bible at length,,and I am happy to do so..but before some of the more orthodox christians and die-hard unbelievers
get all fired up with their arguments, may I please refer you to these sites [below] where you will find a wealth of evidence yet to be explained away
by either Creationists or Evolutionists..or skeptics of UFO-logy.
The evidence to support the biblical account of alien interference in human affairs is beyond that which can be debated..even if there were no
sightings of UFO's currently making headlines in cities around the world on a daily basis.
As for links to back these claims..there are dozens....and perhaps the best place to start is here:

and here

or how about here

As for those who want to bend their minds by arguing with or around the science of it all.. i suggest you go here and do the reading and come up with
an alternative theory to explain the physical evidence..one which is more 'earthly' and plausible.

I would be glad to post Biblical references galore for those who still are not convinced that the holy texts contain evidence of Alien interference
with human development, but again...one only needs to ask the critical questions to arrive at the right place...
Go to the story of Lot being rescued from Sodom by two 'angels'sent by God.
Genesis 19, the whole chapter. Lot is in such a state of anxiety that any harm would come to these 'lords' visiting his town [clearly hostile to
their presence as unwanted strangers] that he insists they stay in his house and not in the town square. When a crowd gathers demanding he send them
out so they can 'have sex'with the strangers Lot, the God-fearing relative of Abraham offers his virgin daughters to the crowd to appease them [!]
Genesis 19:8
Now I ask you..any fathers or mothers reading this..if an angry mob was at your door shouting for you to give up two strangers seeking refuge in your
house, or enjoying hospitallity and protection under your roof..would you offer your children up as sexual sacrifices to appease them? Or would you
offer up the strangers? Or would you do neither and be content to pray and take your chances when the mob stormed your door?
Well, gee...hmmm..send my virgin daughters, my flesh and blood out to be raped..or offend God by delivering his servants into the arms of the
'evil-doers'....hmmm..choices, choices.
But never fear, God's angels can take care of themselves since, with sticks they blind the crowd so that they cannot find the doors or the gates..
Now that must have sounded fantastic to the ancient scribes and translators..but it should be quite easy for us to imagine..given our current state of
technology. We have non-lethal 'blinding' weapons and have been waiting for chances to use them..even considered using them in Somalia a long while
ago. So it really doesn't sound like hocus-pocus, mumbo-jumbo stuff anymore as it might have all those centuries ago..or to the those who are born
'unbelievers'.
How would you describe the cloning process to natives of the amazonian rain-forest..or the aboriginals in Borneo..would it be far different than the
one given to us in Genesis..Eve being a clone of Adam, the new species of man?
Like the poster of this initial, thread maintains, you either want to believe or you don't..and no amount of 'evidence'will convince you if you
don't want to be convinced.
I can respect your desire to disbelieve evidence of the unbelievable
But there does come a point when you go from being a skeptic to someone more aptly described as living in denial..which, as I'm sure most of you will
agree..is not just a river in egypt..
-Sincerely
