Using gene technology and a microscope to take time-lapse images over several days, the researchers watched as neural dendrites, the string-like
extensions of the neuron that serve as points of contact and communication between neurons, developed in the olfactory bulb (an area that senses and
discriminates among odors) of adult mice—something no other scientist has ever observed
This is pretty cool! I'm not to well versed in the field of neural disorders but I still found this pretty interesting and I'd like to see what sort
of advancements could be made in curing those affected by it. Also this being the first time that the formation of a brain cell has been observed is
kinda a big deal also.
