Me and some mates have a 150mm reflector telescope we are borrowing from another friend, it has a 15mm kellner eyepiece.
As we have had it for a few nights, we have tried to look for a few deep sky objects, such as a few galaxys in leo, but we have had no luck

I couldnt think of anywhere to ask, so i thought id ask in this thread, as everyone is pretty nice,

Please could some one help out and tell me if the mag is too small or what not, or if 150mm wont be able to gather enough light for faint objects like that,

would really appreachiate it as we are going out this eve to look at the sky again,

sorry if i posted this in the wrong fourm,
Many thanks, Rayzr!

Light pollution is quite bad, but im on the coast so its not killer!

Just wantewd to knw what people would rate that telescope and eyepiece like,

Can get saturn and rings, and jupiter with four moons, so it cant be that bad,

Just wanna knw if it will be suitable for deep sky stuff,

cheers for the reply though mate

15mm more than nuff (focal length: just divide eyepiece focal length with telescope focal length to see your magnification power of your telescope)- even for a very faint objects ....

15mm you can handle easy - no problemo for keeping objects centered - specially if telly hasn't drive (smaller eyepiece big problemo for your eyes)

I am assuming that you have at least one more eyepiece?

some basics
