'War On Terror' Dividing World, Warns Amnesty Int'l

newsinfo.inquirer.net

LONDON -- Fears stoked by the post-9/11 "war on terror" are increasingly dividing the world, Amnesty International said Wednesday, while rapping rights abuses from China to Darfur and Russia to the Middle East.

The gap between Muslims and non-Muslims notably deepened, fuelled by discriminatory counter-terrorism strategies in Western countries, warned the international human rights group in its annual report.

If we look in the World's history, you will see that there were far worse violation of human rights and religious or racial discrimination in the past.

In my own studies, some (not all) reports on the cases of human rights abuses such as the "extra judicial killings" in the Philippines are somewhat exaggerated.

In most cases, atrocities committed by the “other side”, i.e. rebel forces (against the country’s administration) insurgents & other opposing forces, such as human rights abuses, killings etc. were rarely given emphasis in these reports by AI & other international organizations. It is always easy to hit the Country’s administration.

Just for example, the communist rebels in the Philippines has their own “kangaroo court” where a suspect will be tried for his/her crimes against the “people”, immiditiate execution usually follows after a speedy trial. Yet I rarely see a cry of foul from AI & other international organizations. The government usually takes the blame.

Don’t get me wrong, I have nothing against AI & other international organizations. The point here, is that there are a lot of things happening in the World beyond the reach of international media. It is easy to criticize some things the can be easily seen or known such as Government/Leader actions.

When someone release such sweeping statements, it better be a fair statement.

But the "war on terror" provided an over-arching theme of the report's criticism, with Khan saying the United States was treating the world as "one giant battlefield".

I just feel that somehow, something is not right with this statement. And of course; 'War On Terror' Dividing World?

Does this make any sense to you?

Don't forget also the human right violations that also come from the countries that are pushing liberation with pre empty attacks, are many lives lost due to the way these wars are pushed in the name of freedom.

The losers are always the people that have done nothing to earn such treatment at the hands of their governments, religious leaders and the pushers of war in the name of liberation.

So I guess we must unite under a world government with a world army to stop all those bad things from happening? Amnesty international, stop your globalist BS, we know who's behind the UN at the top: criminals.

Anyway, the ``war on terror`` is more a ``war OF terror`` against liberties, constitutions, sovergnity and freedom fighters. And also, it emboldens extremists which is one of the REALS targets of the war on terror.
