How much does the bandwidth cost per month for this site? I'm curious.

Bandwidth is part of the package deal that comes with the server... it's not a separate price. We are allowed 700 gigabytes per month, and use between 100 and 150 currently. To put things in perspective... A clean T1 line can burst at about 11.2 megabytes per minute... But is reliable for 9.6 megabytes per minute of constant throughput Which is about 460 gigabytes a month. T1's typically cost about $700/month for a clean line from a decent provider. Our provider has multiple high-bandwidth lines (much "fatter" than T1's) so the bandwidth is cheaper thanks to volume. [Edited on 4-1-2004 by SkepticOverlord]

Hmm I'm not sure if my question was answered or not
Would it be accurate to say that ATS pays roughly $1000 a month to stay online?

no
We lease a dedicated server with a combined package of bandwidth/hardware from a firm that is pretty much a server-farm in business to sell machine/bandwidth combinations. I'd rather not reveal the price in a public forum... but it's not hard to do a little research on high-end hardware with 700gigabyte bandwidth alotments and come to a guess.
