F-15 Mid-Air Collision

I'm putting this in Weaponry because this video really doesn't represent an aircraft project and in reality the F-15 is a weapon.

This is almost unbelieveable.

This one comes up every so often. The shape of the plane, and the high speed of his flight helped to keep him level and under control.

Awesome video. Damn that guy is a professional.

I don't know, but I'll take two of those F-15s.

For a long time after this the engineers insisted this plane couldn't have landed safely. They scratched their heads for a long time on this one trying to figure out how he did it.

Everytime I see that vid, I get a strange feeling of what it must have
been like to be that pilot, after landing and seeing the wing gone.

A combination of a great airframe, coupled with a pilot that had great
instinct is shown in this vid. I'm amazed that it was all caught on camera.

The video is unbelieveable, turely. The aircraft is a work of genius. I have a friend that flies them for the Air Force. It is his main love. He has flown in both gulf wars. I am sure he has seen this, but I am going to call him right away to view it again, if he hasn't already.

The pilot was not only courageous, and talented but he was also blessed.
God is love, and He loves us all. This is proof once again.

without even clicking the link does this involve an Israeli f15 and it landing safely? if so then someone posts this every few months.

the lifting body design is the main factor in the airframe landing safely

Of all aircraft I have ever seen none have captured my attention and passion the way the F-15 has. Probably the most reliable airborne weapons system created by man. It's record speaks for itself. BTW, i've seen this video before but thank you for posting it for me to see again. Wonders never cease to amaze.
