i stopped reading this thread after page two. the anger that courses through me is so profound it defies description.
it's not even at the war. my anger is firmly directed at residents of the supposed 'land of the free, home of the brave'. there is no bravery in killing, and freedom? where exactly is your freedom these days huh? accepting the synthetic version handed out like a school dinner by your president is not what liberty is all about.
don't get me wrong, i despise my own country in much the same way. at one time i was proud to be british, but ever since 911 we're become a monoculture fused to america like the wart on the cheek of an ogre's butt.
i'm glad to see there are still some right-thinking human beings left in your country. those with compassion and clear heads. you say that women are weak? we can get round conflicts, diffuse situations, soothe wounded hearts, and tend to our children. if anything, WE are the strong ones. the things any mother has to deal with, the physical and mental pressures and pains experienced from day one of conception to death of us or our children. we do the jobs that men fear to do. we're the ones who take on the responsibilities that matter in this world. we raise you, feed you, and make it all better when you can't cope alone. and you grow up to view us as weak, just because we refuse to kill another mother? your ignorance and single-mindedness deeply angers me.
as already pointed out by others, those 'enemies' are human beings. the countless german lives lost in the second world war harbored huge numbers of innocent people. just because they were german did not mean they deserved to die.
this war is a reversal of roles. this time it's *US* invading *THEM*. and we justify it how? by branding every single person as evil, and gunning them all down with our heads held high and patriotic. well here's my middle finger, patriots. our governments are supposed to be the ones best suited to these powerful positions, but i'mstarting to think that douglas adams got it right when he wrote that the only man suited to a position of power is one who neither wants it or knows he has it.
the real enemy isn't out there, it's sitting right next to us.

Depleted Uranium is actually banned by the UN, as well as Cluster bombs which are constantly dropped in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Going to war against the UNs advice I would say is wrong. Using weapons of mass destruction that the UN bans, I would say, is wrong. Lying to the American people to justify it is wrong, I would say. Going there and ruining their country forever basically, with DU having a 4 billion year half life, is wrong, I would say.

And if you think our government somehow cares for our troops, I suggest you watch a video called Beyond Treason. It shows exactly how much your government "cares" for the troops. Heres a trailer.

video.google.ca...

This has been going on for decades, but one very recent event thats not even in Beyond Treason I will describe. American planes bomb a factory with DU. A week later theyll send the troops into the very area they bombed. These soldiers get sick from the DU, have to go home, and eventually die.

This happens all the time. Not to mention they are sent into Iraq without adequate protection anyways, even the Military now acknowledges that fact, and they have to face the radiation of this stuff their dropping illegally, and its killing troops and even more civilians.

So yea, we care for the troops. Keep them in Iraq, dont bring them home, thats caring for the troops. We support the troops so were gonna keep them there and let them die. Its ridiculous. If you REALLY support the troops, youll demand they be brought home right now!! It is WRONG to put troops in harms way without a real reason. Its wrong. Its wrong to keep them their indefinately without a plan or a timetable. Its ridiculous to think that leaving them in Iraq is somehow supporting them.

What has America become...

Children who will grow up to become sexist, conservative, closed-minded, anti-homosexual Muslims; I have no sympathies, in fact I find it kinda fascinating, deformities and such.

Also napalmed communists =

I am a muslim born and raised in Iran. I am 17 now soon to be 18. I am not a sexist, conservative, closed-minded muslim. (yes I don't like homosexuals but that is a personal opinion). Neither is my brother like this, in fact neither are any of the muslims I know. Please don't mix up terrorist and the normal people who are trying to make a living in Iraq. You can't judge a baby's future on what the extremist are like! Normal muslims are not what you say they are. Extremist are but they are the few. You need to go and see Iraq or Iran or any other muslim country and see first hand what children there are like. I garantee you they are a lot better than children here in the UK or US. They don't have an easy life but they are better people.

I havnt been to Iran yet. I have been to Iraq and Afganistan. In Afghanistan even today if you convert from Islam to another religion you can be arrested and given the death penalty. The Afghanis as a whole to me were more tolerant than the Iraqis. I never once argued with any of them over my faith which is Judaism. They still treat women pretty bad though. Some Afghan children were good some were bad. It all depended on their family and community. The bad ones had a tendency to steal and mob you. In one village we went into the children mobbed us and the men stood around and did nothing. An old woman chased the kids off thankfully. As a whole though I respected the Afghanis much more than I do the Iraqis. They were honorable most of the time and followed a Pashtun code of hospitality.

The Iraqis, well the Kurds are good people. The farmers were decent people. I can say this children who were from families who raised sheep and goats were better. The children who came from urban areas and had nothing better to do than steal stuff and throw rocks were the bad ones.

In both countries though the children often beat the crap out of each other. The only places I have seen behavior like that in the states is in the ghettoes. They were incredibly mean to little girls and we would often protect or take up for the little girls being assaulted by boys. If we gave things to the girls the boys would often beat the girls and steal what we had given them.

More on USA atrocities

Hi,

Very good thread AccessDenied! The site from your opening post is simply great, in terms that made a very good divulgation about the entire situation, and many significant posts from the members.

I will just add that some atrocities are already planed by the USA Government against its own population and some had been carry out, like given radioactive food elements to retarded children. Read chapter 2 from this e-book (pdf). Also we could dialog about the origins of AIDS, but I don’t want to go off topic and in ATS are already some threads on the subject.

I originally posted some of this information and the e-book in this thread www.abovetopsecret.com... .

There were 2,973 fatalities, not including the 19 hijackers: 246 on the four planes (no one on board any of the hijacked aircraft survived), 2,602 in New York City in the towers and on the ground, and 125 at the Pentagon.Among the fatalities were 343 New York City Fire Department firefighters, 23 New York City Police Department officers, and 37 Port Authority Police Department officers.

AccessDenied - The above facts will help you appreciate the incidents and the horrors that led to a bigger horror which you have highlighted in your post. I'am in no way trying to justify US Army's use of DU or the misery that has been perpetrated in the war against terror. All I want to drive home is that if you raise a sleeping dragon you should be prepared to face the fury.
The photos that you are referring to are just a glimpse of what would have actually happened and I find this a very sensational way of winning support by the hosts and agencies which do evry possible research and data gathering about this kind of phenomenon. I would say that an unbiased way of looking at this war is to actually look at the photos of terrorist victims through out the world and then compare the facts. Are you aware of the horror of Kashmiri Pandits' fate in Kashmir in the hands of Terrorists? Are you aware of the fact that women and children are lined up at shot dead even as we breath now? Are you aware of the fate of Serbians? Are you aware of what is happening in Africa? Are you aware of daily civilian casualities in the terror strikes across the globe?

With due respect, people like you and me can afford to sit in our homes and talk about humanitarian causes and the ill effect of wars like these but I think we are not looking at the facts in the right perspective. We cannot tell these things to the families of victims.

Agreed what is happening in Iraq is monstrous but why is it happening? Though there is no reasoning which can justify the ill fate of thousands of women and children but I strongly feel that it's the husbands, fathers and brothers of these women and children who have wrought these horrors unto their own families. When we are at war we are there to win it. We are not there to look at what's happening to civilians or to the military. I think it's not difficult to find gruesome photos of our terrorist victims and post them in a website and cry 'foul'.

History has it - your misdeeds would bring misfortune to youe generations to come.

This is for the terrorists to think before killing another innocent soul for their twisted idea of religion or politics.Period.
