I've recently discovered Shadows Fall. They are completely my style. Loud and heavy, but not too heavy. The guitars are amazing. The bass is what really sets this band apart. Songs like "Light That Blinds" has such an amazing bassline in it. The drummers really good too. They also implement a lot of classical guitar into their music, and they dont look like freaky gothic people or anything, they're really normal and down to earth.

Shinedown is great too, Their singer, Brent Smith, is one of the best vocalists and in my opinion THEE best vocalist out there currently.

Gotta love Wolfmother Intrepid, i was fortunate enough to see them in Sydney a couple of years ago playing a crowded pub gig, that wont happen again, arena's for those boys from now on.

What i'm loving lately is '3 inches of blood' and 'Rise Against' though they've been around for a bit.

Well top of the list would be Children of Bodom, Disturbed, and Ill Nino.
I also like Lacuna Coil, Stonesour, Cradle of Filth, Three Days Grace, and the list continues. There is a new band from Sweden, I believe, called Wolf. They have the old melodic death metal sound and I'm really digging them right now too.

The only newer bands I listen to are My Chemical Romance (not anymore, really, their older stuff was better than the stuff they have out now) and The Used.

The older classic rock band s are my favorite. Pink Floyd. Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, Styx, Rush, Black Sabbath, Dio, ZZTop, and Guns n Roses are the top bands in my "Recently Played" playlist on iTunes.
