This man
obviously must be a pretty intelligent man to be a nuclear engineer. I can't see how an intelligent person would do something like
this to "
impress friends and family in Tehran."
The plans contained "details of the plant's control rooms, reactors and designs", I can't see how they can claim these plans are "not classified, and
has no links to actual plant workings and can't be used to affect operations." These are plans to the largest nuclear power plant in the US. I'm sure
a terrorist could gain some sort of knowledge from these plans!
I think the government is actually trying to cover this up by saying this information wasn't classified to avoid embarrassment. Otherwise,why would
they arrest this guy for passing non-classified information
