With great respect to all you squeaky-clean posters, I must humbly disagree.
Bar Soap Rules!
* Liquid soap is for lazy people. Bar Soap gives you a wrist and arm workout while you use it.
* Liquid soap is too expensive. You get perhaps 25-30 washes per 11.3oz bottle, used sparingly for $3 or more, while the same price will get you a
12-pak of e.g., Zest in which EACH BAR washes you 25 times or more.
* Liquid Soap is redundant. I mean once you lather up with bar soap, you have, essentially created your own liquid soap anyway.
* Liquid soap is boring. With Bar soap and a spouse or friend you can have all sorts of fun (hide the soap, drop the soap, bar massage, etc.). And -
have you ever tried to carve a bunny rabbit from liquid soap? Can't be done!
*Liquid soap is perilous. If you drop or tip over your liquid soap bottle, you could lose the whole gloppy mess down the drain while you're at work.
With bar soap - it usually stays where you put it. And if you drop it, so what? Just pick it up!
*Liquid soap is environmentally inferior. For one thing, you create lots of plastic waste when the soap container is empty. Secondly, the
manufacture of all those containers and packaging impacts the environment. Finally, the machinery and resources needed to fill, process, label,
crate, and ship liquid soap is much more intensive than for bar soap (e.g., liquid soap has fillers and agents added to keep it fluid, etc.). All
that 'extra stuff' (packaging, additives, etc. also need resources, transportation, etc. to get it into your bathroom.
Ok - I'm done for now. Please don't beat me up - the truth is, I start with bar soap to get the grime off, then finish and rinse with liquid
Neutrogena for a silky finish and that great fresh scent. GUILTY!
