Why information of this proect is so few? Has it still been in secret?

The AVS is not a secret, it was just a dead end programme that could never work and was quickly overtaken by the MRCA. I think the AVS' biggest supporters were Rolls Royce, who stood to sell six engines for every one built

I will correct one error from the previous thread though. The AVS was NOT a development of the F-104 Starfighter. It was a completely new design, just not a very practical one.
