Hey whats up... yadda yadda blah blah

Anyways, my problem is that one night while under the infleunce I installed some crap for my #ty sound card an SB Live! Value ( that shouldve been a clue for SUCK ASS) it was from the offical CD I think.. .anyways it made my comp take 30 seconds to get done thinking once windows began I found that unacceptable because normally it's 3 seconds and BAM ready to roll.

So I think I deleted Sndvol32.exe

now I can't bring up my lil speaker icon where I have al lthe controls for microphone and speakers etc...

says cant find sndvol32.exe

I dunno where I can find this file to replace it or how to fix any help I would love so I can yell at my friends again on the team speak server

That's a normal Windows File for your sound. You should be able to get it from your windows CD. It will be compressed into one of your .cab files though. You might find one to download offline also. It will go in either your c:\Windows or c:\Windows\system32 depending on your OS, check to make sure.

Well, you can always try this instead. In case you've misplaced your CD.

have you tried setting your system back to a restore point before you deleted the file?

the file isnt gone per se, ( from my understanding) it's probably just hidden.

If you take the system back to a date before you deleted it , it might come back.......

just my 0.02c
