Just watched that video they look like F-15's.
And no they wont shoot you down for just going into the airspace.
They will warn you first and try and make you move.

I know it's a bit late now but the documentary was called Dreamland hosted by Bruce Burgess (The rather chunky guy). He and his crew went close to R4808-N and ended up getting harrased by some guys in jets. It can easily be found on youtube @ Dreamland 1996 or just dreamland.

They weren't "harassed" by guys in fighter jets. They were flying extremely close to restricted airspace, and were intercepted.

ok then, I always thought the pilots were trying to intimidate them so they would go away and not film the base. By the way have you seen the documentary I'm talking about?

They don't intimidate them, they try to get them to follow them to land, or turn away from the restricted airspace and head back to another airport, where they'll probably be met by some men in nice suits.

I've seen the clip of them flying towards Area 51 a long time ago, but I haven't watched the entire documentary.
