Although my sighting was many years ago (1961), I am more positive than ever that it was truly a Alien craft, as opposed to a UFO.

My sighting took place in the daytime, 10:30 AM EST, under a beautiful blue sky with very few cumulus clouds. The clouds were what had me staring at the sky, as I was prone to finding shapes of things in the cloud formations.

As I live near a major Air Force Base, I was quite used to seeing many jet aircraft flying around, and this was before the ban on breaking the sound barrier, so that was something I observed quite often.

That is important, as it establishes that I was aware of speeds our jets of the day were capable of, and how that speed related to covering great distances across the sky, and also gave me insight as to the scale of an object at various distances.

That having been said, I will set to describe my sighting.

From my vantage point, I had a viewable area of the sky to the west of what I have now fairly accurately measured to be 40 miles. By luck or destiny I first observed this craft as it entered the viewable area from my left. I could not see the craft well enough to describe it further than to say it was a bright silvery object. By that I mean to say I could not see if it was cylindrical, oval, round, square, or irregularly shaped. And it was not under darkness and just "lights" that I was seeing, this was full light daytime! However that is entirely irrelevant.

What matters is the speed of the craft, and the manuvers it made. The speed was such that the craft crossed the entire viewable area in less than 4 seconds, and just as it was about to leave my view, it made an abrupt 90 degree right hand turn. I'm talking about instantly changing direction, no banking, no wide sweeping turn, but instantly changing course 90 degrees. The craft continued out of sight in that direction, but in just seconds, came back into view along that exact path in the opposite direction, and continued along that course out of sight. That was the last I saw of it, because I wanted to go tell my buddies about it, hoping it would come back around, and therefore support my sighting. However, we were only afforded another 5 minutes before we had to leave the area and go back inside the building, and was not fortunate enough to observe the craft again.

I know that many people come up with any number of explanations as to what it could have been, but I can tell you that I have seen firsthand the space shuttle streaking across the sky on re-entry, and that speed is not even close to what this craft was capable of. And the manuverability is unquestionably beyond what any domestic craft is capable of.

I have read some accounts that are compatible with my sighting, and my sighting rather legitimizes those accounts. I won't cloud the issue with those accounts, suffice it to say that I am more convinced than ever that there is much more going on between humans and "aliens" than we will ever know, because certain individuals feel the public can't handle the information.

Additional verification ( of "alien" presence, not my sighting ) came from a very close friend whom I have known since early childhood confided to me that they worked at the nearby Air Force base in an area where some of the "alien" remains were stored. I believe some of the facts were something no one could make up as accurately as they described, and which to a large degree, I was able to substantiate through another aquaintance.

Make what you want to of this account, but there is nothing I would not swear to on the most sacred article you could furnish. I'm very sure of what I saw, and am anxious for someone to have the conviction to tell the public what is being hidden from them. Anyone willing to step up?

Feel free to respond anyway you feel the need, it won't change my opinion. However, I hope that this accounting will provide a bit more re-enforcement of those who may have seen similar occurences.
