WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The biggest obstacle for U.S. military recruiters is not finding young Americans willing to enlist in wartime, it's dealing with their parents, according to the Pentagon. That reality, which has emerged over the past year through polling data and recruiters' experiences throughout the United States, has led some parts of the U.S. military to seek new ways to either convince parents or simply bypass them

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

YEAH IF THE PARENTS TELL their children its too dangerous to enlist then
the military gets less cannon fodder which means the warproffiteers have less cannon fodder to out fit at outrageous prices with shoddy equipment.
i have always thought it was obscene when i was in high school right around the first war they came into our school and made us take the asfab test. me and several guys tried to tell them we weren't taking it because we weren't going into military the recruiters and the school made us take it anyway . i put wrong answer for every question they were pissed off at me.
