Russia's riot police show their fluffy side

Following widespread western condemnation of brutality during recent rallies held by the former chess champion Garry Kasparov and other Kremlin critics, Omon was certainly in need of a public relations boost.

Omon machismo dominated the show. One group displayed their strength by chopping flaming bricks in two with their bare hands. Another hardy individual performed stomach crunches on a bed of broken glass as his colleague dropped knives on to his washboard stomach.

Wow! Look! They can chop flaming bricks with there bare hands and some can even do push ups on a bed of glass while having knifes dropped on him! Good job riot police!

Techno music filled the air as officers formed a circle, picked a partner and then demonstrated dozens of different ways to disarm, disable and then finish him off with a gunshot to the back, an exercise that was accompanied by theatrical grunts.

Of course, you can't just not finish him without that last shot.

Is this a joke? Seriously Russia police are very brutal and obey orders like dogs. With their little dark vador outfits... sorry the propaganda that they are good guys just wanting to help the public doesn't work.
