Not sure if this is the correct forum, move if needed.

Please tell us about the most fun rides you've had, in a military vehicle.

Mine :
(1) Huey helicopter, hanging out the side with a pilot that knew how to
nap the land.
No roller coaster has ever come close.

(2) M-1 without the turret.
We had to change a turret seal. Once the turret was off, the question arose
about driving just the hull. One of the G.D. guys said "sure". We looped
a few hydraulic lines and headed for a tank trail. We hit 90, fast. Seeing
the Louisiana forest flying by was a blast !

Now, to our dear readers :

Any fun rides you'd like to tell us about ?

Lex

1) Riding an KTM-LC4-400 motorcycle in knee deep snow with a mechanized battallion following my scouting.

2)Hanging from the T-72s top NSVT-machinegun, while the tank was moving across training range with full speed. Talking about a rough ride, with a MGs reciever hammering to my chest and the speed was around 70-80km/h.

Those two posts don't come even close people.

My hairiest ride was when I was commanding a stripped down Lannie 110 Defender, on the way back from Sennybridge Training Area.

Paul Neeves my driver, suddenly announded he was going to change his footwear.

Over the next few miles, from Crickhowell to Abergavenny, whilst I steered as best I could, Paul changed his boots and socks, only regaining control of the Lannie for the roundabouts.

Beat that!
