Child snatched on holiday( new sightings and CCTV)

-- Portugal's attorney-general says he will announce next week whether he plans to bring charges in the disappearance of British child Madeleine McCann.

Attorney-General Fernando Pinto Monteiro could also order the case closed or request that police continue investigating the girl's May 2007 disappearance in Portugal's southern Algarve region.
Pinto Monteiro told reporters on the sidelines of an official ceremony Wednesday that "the 'Maddie Case' will have a solution on Monday, and you will be informed of it." He did not elaborate.

Well the past few days has come up with a few new updates to the case.

The McCann's are no longer offical suspects in the dissapearance of thier daughter, neither is Robert Murrat.

It appears that police files regarding the case were leaked onto the net, highlighting reasons why the McCann's were made suspects in the first place.

Kate and Gerry McCann have to wait a week to see the police files on the Madeleine case, but a summary has already been leaked to a Portuguese website.

The British news channels are saying that the McCann's are deciding whether or not to take legal action if it is shown that the Portugese police were incompetant during the case.

I am struggling with that one. Is it not kind of like the pot calling the kettle black if they shout incompetance?

I feel so sorry for them losing a child, i really do, but you can't leave not only a toddler, but two babies alone in an unlocked appartment, and then moan about the way the police conduct the case when they go missing.

There seems to be a number of sightings of her in Belguim, This started with some information on the files that where released and now it seems a number of people are coming forward with information and sightings,

The lastest is even possible CCTV footage of a child,

The child, who is around Madeleine's age, was caught on security cameras with a dark-haired women in a hijab head scarf who spoke in a different language.

very interesting indeed, hopefully they dont blow this with all the reports if it is her,

It would be great if they could find her, but I doubt it.

And I hope people remember that, if she is still alive, she is an year older.

The little girl in the CCTV is not maddie its been claimed as the father of the girl on the footage has come forward,



But i guess least it rules that sighting out,

Two years latter and nothing new has appeared.

An American specialist made a portrait of what Maddie may look like now, almost six years old, if alive and living well.

Unfortunately, it looks like this is just one of the thousands of cases that happen every year, everywhere, only this one got much media coverage.

We will never know what happened and nobody will be punished for what was, at least, negligent action from the parents.
