Ahhh, Metallica, my favourite ever band.

Love that song too, really defined the kind of friendships I had in my first few years between college and work (that and "Brothers Of Metal" by Manowar), you know, just kinship in metal and fun times playing instruments together and listening to our fave bands.

Awesome, have only just started getting into more of their tunes, should've checked out their earlier stuff a long time ago really.

I'll always have memories of Ozzfest and although the festival only came to the UK twice (I went the first time in 2002) and Metallica didn't play either time, I'll remember forever the time when I sat by the tent with some guys nearby circling a fire while we had a stereo playing the "...And Justice For All" album and us singing along to it and hanging out with an acoustic guitar.

I was the only one able to play "One" properly too if I recall. The sixteenth notes near the end sound weird on a palm muted acoustic though lol

Among my favorites, Killswitch Engage and Opeth

Killswitch, really like all of their stuff very positive but supercharged with emotion and energy.
Opeth is dark poetry with deep growling but awesome acoustic guitar here and there.

Numbered Days

The time approaches
Fall
This is the voice of the voiceless,
We have learned by making choices,
After persecution and delusion,
We have severed a solution,
To build our foundation on natural elements to preserve life
We will rise, this babylon (fall)
Fall
Chanting inspiration for the righteous
Dislocation from the social order
Kingdoms will rise to power
But kingdoms fall to dust
Fall, fall, fall

And another one of my favorites, Opeth

Demon of the Fall

Silent dance with death.
Everything is lost.
Torn by the arrival of Autumn.
The blink of an eye, you know it's me.
You keep the dagger close at hand.
And you saw nothing.
False love turned to pure hate.
The wind cried a lamentation
before merging with the grey.

-Rawr-

Demon, Demon of the fall.
Demon, Demon of the fall.
Demon, Demon of the fall.
Demon, Demon of the fall.

Some cool new music I've never heard in this thread, good stuff
